So how do we classify players who split their junior time?
Surely the club that moves them into seniors gains some precedence?
I was being a bit of a smart arse having Mahoney as a Bulldog. I think that where a player debuted in first grade carries a bit of weight.

Don't you mean the City of Penrith?

As someone has pointed out previously, the Panthers local catchment extends well beyond the Penrith council area. Part of Blacktown, all of Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury and some of Liverpool.

That actually makes it worse. Parra's use of junior resources is a disgrace, it's not like the Parra juniors playing for other clubs were poached as established players. Parra just let them slip though the grand canyon sized cracks while filling their squad with players developed by other clubs.

Yeah nah, our juniors got us f**king nowhere for fifteen years. And you're gaming the stats quite a lot. How many of those were astute buys at a junior level or just on the cusp?

Huge catchment sure. But when, for eg, the Tigers wanna come in and offer backup level Stefano Utoikamanu an inflated deal, or the Dogs give Jakob Loko three times his value, or the Sharks poach Nathan Gardner or Jacob Gagan or the Roosters poach Daniel Tupou and on and on and on...

Better to let them go more often than not. Who was the last Eels junior to be a genuine star at any club?

I'd wager we'll have more stay now that the front office is stable, however.

Parra were more interested in chasing Folau instead of concentrating on retention. Think Stuart was coach back then? He had a poor record at talent spotting. At Easts he knocked back an unwanted Thurston for Brett Finch. Let Soward go too.

Sonny bill is not playing he has a neck injury:

Minor premiers Penrith go into a sold-out opening finals clash with the Sydney Roosters firing on all cylinders and looking to extend their club-record winning streak.

Yes I know they do. I said the same thing. What’s your point? My initial response was to someone gloating about panthers juniors stocks compared to roosters. I’m pointing out that you get to claim districts that aren’t within your local government area. We don’t have that luxury. I stand corrected City of Penrith. Better?

You’re not just nit picking, you’ve been blatantly wrong about several players. You said Crichton & Leniu were not from the Penrith area.
Yeah I acknowledged that. What about the other 6 you claimed to be juniors that clearly weren’t? Get over it mate.

Where was that exactly. I missed it?
Around when you tried picking apart their starting 17. TBH I don't even care that much about juniors these days, the game seems to have moved past it and rewards likewise. But you were never gonna win that battle against Penrith.
