That one was fine.

The celebration after the last try was ridiculous. Those should be reserved for game winning tries in preliminary finals not a late try to further blow out the scoreline against a bottom 8 team.

You sound like a lot of fun. They celebrate every try like it was important one. A big part of our success this year is how close these guys are, Sauce in particular is very popular with the team whenever he scores he gets mobbed I think the celebration was far more to do with who scored rather than who we scored against.

I'd say the celebration was more about finishing the game in a good way & extending the streak. We put shit on players for being robotic & not having personality & then slam them when they let their emotions come out. Personally I prefer when they let it all out.
Make no mistake, the Tigers came to play last night, nothing wrong with celebrating a hard fought win.
Also as Betcats said, Sauce is a popular dude that hasn't had much joy crossing the line lately, they would have been stoked he got another one.

Good to see that it is now consensus that the Penrith players are smug wankers, just like their coach and fans.

I’d rather not “embrace the hate“ I don’t want us to be associated with the likes of the Roosters or the Storm.

I’ve been a Penrith Supporter since my early teens, and this season feels very different to the last times we were this successful in 91’ and 2003. Back then, we were everyone’s favourite second team. Smugness and Arrogance is an Avenue I don’t want us to take.
The smugness tag is coming from the outside. If we show pride and confidence in our side, we shouldn't be apologising for something which is perceived more than it is. Screw the usual trolls who have their own pithy agendas...we should be enjoying ourselves, as that other lot can do as they please.

For your sake I hope the players aren't thinking along those grounds because things change very quickly in footy.

Ask the 2012 dogs, 2016 raiders, 2017 eels, 2019 raiders and of course your mob from 2014 who are all still waiting.

They need to be like the 2015 cowboys and 2016 sharks (who both fell off the following year) because the time is now for Penrith, they won't get a better opportunity than this.

The roosters and storm are exceptions to the rule in that they always give themselves a chance. Your coach has proven multiple times he can't back up a very good season the following year.
That remains to be seen as we'll have the nucleus of this side for a few years.

I’ve always liked the Panthers especially the Class 2003 and 1991, but there’s something about this team that rubs me the wrong way....I think it their coach..

You see those all the time. Panthers celebrated a win over a club that meant more than just a win, as it was a record breaking 9 wins in a row at home. Surely that is something to get excited about.

TBH I don't see smug. In fact the opposite but are you going to change people's opinion? If we were losing nothing would be made of it. If having a winning team means those jealous people hate then bring it on

NRL to send out a statement:
Effective immediately no Penrith player shall celebrate a try. No team member shall perform a special handshake nor shall they run from the other side of the field to congratulate. More over no Penrith supporter shall celebrate said try nor shall they show any confidence in their support of the team outside their home, online or visually by wearing the teams colours.

Penrith players will never stay down after illegal high shots. These actions are strictly reserved to all other NRL teams. All other illegal actions by Penriths opposition such as shoulder charges and kicking out are deemed legal and not up for discussion.
