What does it matter? It seems everybody wants to find a reason to downplay what they have achieved. If they didn’t travel as much it is countered by having only 6/20 games at home.
How about giving credit where it is due! 13 wins straight is a phenomenal effort and should be recognised as such, not be torn down by jealous opposition supporters!

I mean it matters because it's been proven less travel equals less fatigue. How the f**k do you think Eels are in the top 4. We can barely hang on!!

Eel fans have an excuse to be butt-hurt tonight.
The rest of the neutral death-riders can f**k right off.
This is a good thing for the people of Penrith in a shit year all round.

Then why hasn’t it mattered for the last 50 years? Why does it matter now?
Could it just be that you can’t accept that Penrith has done it!

How much travel has Panthers had to do with this Covid season? Generally curious.

Eels haven’t left NSW since Round 4. Parra fans should be the last ones to be complaining about the draw. Also should be the last ones to be calling another team smug considering the kind of personalities in their own team.

Parra have had every opportunity to dominate this comp with the start they made to the season but their form has been a real let down for a good 8 weeks or so.

Umm because Covid has changed travel for the entire year? I mean that's pretty obvious. Anyways, best of luck to the pennies for the finals. It's better than QLD being there I suppose.

I've never called Panthers smug. I never said Parra didn't have an easy draw or non-travel. I asked about Panthers. Nother more, nothing less.

That's it! Another premiership for the roosters, exactly what the game needs.
I was hoping for an eels and Penrith gf this year, despite my hate for Church St. Something different for once!

It would be the most 2020 thing ever for this year to turn out another Roosters v Storm GF, with Melbourne winning and the entire 9 commentary team lining up at the podium to blow COVID-Cam while V'Landy's gives Barb a diamond ring for every single one of her other 8 ringless fingers...

My wife are we’re fortunate to be at the game tonight given the Covid situation and limited crowd capacity.

I haven’t read what has been written here beforehand but rarely have I been at a game featuring a 1 v 3 contest which was so one sided.

Maybe it is just me but the Panthers should have gone into half time 24-0 up rather than 6-2 but it was all our wrong doing.

I don’t think I have ever sat thru a game where our opposition never looked liked scoring at any stage, but the Eels managed that tonight.

I’m not being smug here after a win but while the Eels are in the top 4 they are currently not top 4. Our defence was great but the Eels offered nothing which is concerning for them.

In the immortal words of Phil Ghoul'd: "it's a weak comp."

The best measure of a team's quality isn't their ladder position, it's their for-and-against. Parra's is only 5th best, and could drop to 7th by the end of the round. We have the 9th best attack in the comp. What do you expect with a couple of kids in your spine and your halfback playing injured. When we flogged teams early in the year it's because they gave up, like we did against Souths.

We have solid defence though (still top four after this round). The Panthers dropped all that ball in the first half because they got frustrated and tried to score off every set. In the second half they got back into the grind, completed 25 from 26 and scored another two tries to go with the one they scored on half time.

Saving tries is valiant and all, but the panthers blew about 50 tries by dropping the ball.

Fix that up and they challenge the dragons 11 straight premierships.
Going by last nights performance, we really do have quite a bit of work to do if we are to seriously challenge the Roosters. Melbourne I'm not concerned about.
