If you remember our previous conversation, I said that Bulldog Ritchie said this, another Murdoch stooge that knows less than nothing about what he's talking about. I believed this figure (stupid me), but after you raised question marks over this, I tried to research the evidence for Ritchie's statement, and couldn't find anything to substantiate that figure.
Anyway, this does not affect the premise of my argument, which is that Rothfield, a senile Murdoch stooge, doesn't know what he's talking about, and is a maths failure, and we are not under salary cap pressure.
Do you disagree with the premise of my argument which is that
1. Souths are not under salary cap pressure, and
2. If "half a dozen other clubs are lining up to sign Dane Gagai" who is being reportedly paid 700K per season, that salary cap has nothing to do with whether we match this, but age and performance and value for money has a lot more to do with this decision?
Mate, I don't worry at all about the salary cap game. It seems to me every club uses the cap as a reason to adjust offers, let players go, not bid for other players.
If a club wants a certain player one way or another the club will get him. Rusty's got deep pockets I here.
As for the other clubs chasing Gagai, read previous.
I don't mind being in a group one when it comes to being a Gagai supporter.
I sure don't mind being in a group of one when it comes to wanting to see the transfer of Allan. As Allen is unable to tackle, and he has repeatedly shown that failure all year, I don't think he is a first grade footballer.
When you put Allan in the team with Johnston, who also has weaknesses in defensive, specifically tackling front on, and Jaxson Paulo, who is perhaps an unknown because of only a few games, you see that Souths had a back three that had definite defensive weaknesses.
Hopefully, Latrell Mitchell will return, with a bit more maturity, end of problem.
Except what to do with Allan?
