I’d take Sezer and Latimore over both of them.
Sezer has 5 try assists 1 linebreak assist and 5 drop outs in 15 games in a top four side. 3 tries.
Cleary has 9 try assists 8 linebreak assists and 18 drop outs in 21 games. 10 tries.

Not a like for like though. Hodgson runs their attack whereas Cleary is our number 1.
possessions tell the story
Cleary ave 56.6 possessions a game
Sezar 37.9
They are both NRL halfbacks its close enough. Cleary is becoming seriously underrated if people think Aidan Sezer is as good as or better than him.
not all halfbacks are the centre of attack though, That is something we can work on use other guys more
not as good but better value
Hope not. He's too young. The 2020 captaincy call is going to be huge. The more I think about it the more it looks like it will be Nathan's. Its a firm statement that he is the leader of the team.

I just hope that Nathan shuts up all those agenda driven media personalities and one eyed fans with a season to remember in 2020.
Those idiots only discuss his pay packet vs try assists, not his fault if a club wants to pay him top dollar and those try assists numbers will automatically go up when there is no Maloney trying to hog all attacking plays and just let him have the ball on the halfway line for those bombs. The best thing about Nathan is that he puts in the effort every game and probably every training session which will help him towards being the best half in the Nrl in a year or two.
Effort doesn’t make up for lack of skill.
Cleary took the money, with that money comes scrutiny.
If Cleary is the best halfback in the comp in a year or two I’ll walk backwards, naked, from my house to Penrith park.
Honestly think it’s delusional thinking that Maloney held Cleary back, Ivan likes to play up the centre with a half on either side. Look at the possessions, Maloney and Cleary almost the same per game. Cleary had the right side to himself, Maloney wasn’t getting in his way over there.
It's crazy this comment still happens when I've explained it a hundred times. The amount of possessions is irrelevant. Maloney being the dominant personality makes the difference. You put people in a room and the less dominant person will always shrink back into themselves. Go to any group activity and you'll see it for yourselves.
I honestly don't think this will happen, but I'd love to see Cleary get Daly M and lead us to a GF... Simply just to see if/how you'd eat your humble pie - You seem to have a slightly disturbing hatred of the kid...
Simply responding to silly comments, I don’t hate him. I’ve repeatedly said I think he’s a great runner of the ball, great goal kicker, but I’m just realistic about his skill set. And what he’s not capable of is getting a lot of try or line break assists. He’s even said so himself.
He’s more suited to playing another position. And I’m not the only one who thinks so, Andrew Johns thinks he’s a 5/8.
Like I said in my reply to Herb, it was just me being a smart arse No malice was meantDoesn't sound like hatred to me. Herbert sounds very reasonable to me and raises good points. For mine the jury is out on Nathan Cleary as a halfback and organiser.
He will no longer have any excuses in 2020...I think. I thought he didn't have any excuses this year but it turns out he did.
