Have to respect Penrith winning 3 tough games like that when it really counted. But f**k, if Cleary was best on ground I was watching another game. Burton, Leota, Martin, even his annoying halves partner deserved the CCM more than him.

If we were doing 3-2-1

id go

3 Yeo - Easily best forward on the paddock for mine
2 To'o - Same as he has done in a ton of games, except no tries
1. Could have gone to 4-5 players

EDIT: In Hindsight, Cleary should be right up there, his kicking was bang on, and a main reason why Souths camped in their own end attack and defence. he ran a lot more than normal, at times looked dangerous

I didnt watch the post game celebrations.
But i see this morning Brian To'o proposed to his missus after the game on the ground.

This may be politically incorrect but does anyone else find that selfish and just attention seeking. It wouldn't suprise me if it was planned tbh.

Like they have just won a Grand Final and instead of talking about the team we are talking about how their supsertar winger is getting married.

Brian take her up to Katoomba and propose to her in front of three sisters in the background or somewhere up there in the sunset. Don't use your team celebrations to make it all about yourself in front of the whole country

I didnt mind it. Happy for them both. Great memory for their kids

The camera seemed to pan at them at the last moment, so maybe team mates suggested to the camera people to get it on camera, rather than To'o organizing it through ch9

Penrith get away with murder in the ruck. Not sure what’s doing there. Having said that, good luck to them.

It's clear as day that the NRL wanted their feel-good story - a Premiership-winning father-son duo?

We need to extend BA, and make Jakob our starting half, or we'll never win a comp...

But, seriously - as well as Penrith played, they were handed the Premiership on a platter.

I'm sick of the NRL - it makes FIFA look like a board of saints, helmed by Jesus Christ, himself...

Souths looked sharper in attack but Penrith struggled the life out of them in a dour game.
Cody Walkers intercept and silly pass on the 3rd when on attack cost them the GF. Not the reffs.
A few of the calls went Penrith way I agree. But there was not a whole heap of controversial ones compared to say our game.

Penrith deserved to win last night.

But they shouldn't have been there, imo.

But it is, what it is.

On to 2022.

I actually dont mind listening to Brandy talk football. I find him similar to sterlo one of the most knowledgeable in the game.

He has a very good memory about games and players as well when i listen to him on SEN.

I rate him as a better analyst then the rest of them on fox compared to dribblers like Anasta, Parker
I rate my neighbours deceased cat a better NRL analyst than Cory Parker

I just think it was such a cliche.

exactly ... there was no real standout ... but the chin caused havoc at times with his kicking and that kept souths on the back foot
Joey kept saying all night that Souths didn't put pressure on the kicker. Why ? Well Wayne did tell the NRL about the Pennys decoys.

If south’s had our starting props they win, their pack is good / work man like but lack class…ability to make tough metres consistently

Loved the post-match press conference where numbnuts Bennett misheard the question about the fairy tale and thought it was about him. What a f**ken idiot!

I thought Cleary was fantastic, he kicked South’s to death all night. The last 5 mins he saved two tries with last ditch tackles and he was the one who grabbed Walkers arm for the ball to go into touch. Not sure why people are blowing up why he got CCM. I’ve seen far worse.
