Highest possible charge without having to prove intent. 7 years incident free. Remarkable that a bloke can make such a bad tackle after 7 years incident free, just goes to show how these things are sometimes outside the player's control. Three games with the early plea seems fair.It was reckless at least. He hit him square in the head and he knew it on the night it was bad. He's taken to social media about it issuing an apology -

Yes Hughes was slightly crouched, but even had he been completely upright he still would have been hit in the head.
If Jack Hetherington had made this tackle and received this charge he'd be looking at 13 weeks with an early guilty plea. Off topic but the way priors are treated needs looking at.
