If I make a careless or reckless error at my work I am being punished. I may not be considered a top employee though...

I doubt a snr person responsible for generating the companies wealth is getting removed from earning that company money for minor indiscretions!

The stuff these guys are getting sat out of the game for isnt causing any harm, be like sending
your top earner home for dropping a coffee cup in the canteen!

Imagine watching a hollywood movie where half way through the star actor changes for some scenes as they were banned for a bit of the movie because they fluffed their lines. Its dumb to sit down your star earners for minor accidntal occurences on the field. It weakens the product and isnt serving any real purpose as most players are too thick to change so its not even a dterrent for most of them.

the result was ugly but I think the suspension is harsh. Went in for a big hit and got it wrong on a player that runs low to the ground. Strange that Hodgsons repeated high shot drew no scrutiny, seemed more intent in those hits than the CHN one.

It was reckless at least. He hit him square in the head and he knew it on the night it was bad. He's taken to social media about it issuing an apology -

Yes Hughes was slightly crouched, but even had he been completely upright he still would have been hit in the head.
