I know ill regret this but,
Guilty, youve done something wrong.
Innocent youve done nothing wrong.
Guilty must be proven, in this country your innocent until proven guilty, there are no half ways in this, and this is where many stuff up and forget the laws of the land.
Take this rape thing going on in the last few weeks, many ASSUME he is guilty and want blood, committees meetings to make out and guess his fit for his role, the police, the department responsible for investigating and determining fault or guilt then trying and proving the allegation have said there is no case to answer, after 33 years you would have thought there was enough time to determine and prosecute, but no allegation, complaint was made, and now after the death of the suposed victim, a witch hunt occurs, were the integrity and livlihood of the accused is jeperdised, perhaps for ever, is instigated by people with no hope, knowledge, or careing of the truth, just vindictivness.
Its wrong that stigma lingers and sometimes never leaves.
And people suffer.
Opinions have nothing to do with the law, with actual guilt or innocence.
Its innocent until proven, not until opinion crucifise you.
Eg, a female cries foul, immediately and in most cases, the accused is guilty and has to prove innocense, and the stigma almost never leaves, this is totally wrong.
This is similar to what sam is going through, even though he is innocent, many still are debating about it. I wish it would just stop!
Sorry to bore u all.

I am not reading past the second sentence - who has done nothing wrong, by your own words - who has done nothing wrong - thats how the law works - we are talking the law.

A judge would say your 'not guilty of ' or he may 'unable to prove' etc. A judge will never say you are innocent because not one person is innocent (excepting infants, new born).
Sam Burgess is not guilty of the charges leveled against him by his ex wife and father in law.

Beautiful stuff from Gags in today's Daily Telegraph! A selfless act. It's been said for a while that he is probably on too much cash anyway so this is exactly what I want to hear from him,

Veteren's selfless offer to tempt Rabbitohs star

Dane Gagai could save Adam Reynolds’ one-club career with the star centre revealing he is willing to sign a cut-price deal to ensure Redfern’s favourite son remains a Rabbitoh.

In a selfless declaration that could help South Sydney retain Reynolds, Gagai said he would “100 per cent” take a pay cut to assist the Rabbitohs in conquering the salary cap squeeze that is threatening their all-star roster.

In the fourth and final year of his South Sydney deal, Gagai is one of 12 players on a South Sydney off-contract list that also includes Reynolds, Jaydn Su’A, Braidon Burns and Tautau Moga.

“This is my last season,” Gagai said.

“But I don’t want to go anywhere. 100 per cent (I would take a pay-cut to keep the team together). I want to be part of what we are building and do my bit.”

Reportedly the highest paid winger in the game with a Rich List 100 salary of $650,000 a year, a reduced Gagai deal may pave the way for the Rabbitoh’s to retain Reynolds.

In the biggest contract story so far this year, Reynolds last month threatened to put himself on the open market after being low-balled by his one and only club.

While Reynolds is intent on earning the deal that will set him up for life, Gagai said being part of a premiership-winning team was more important than cash.

The Maroons’ try-scoring machine crashed to three wooden spoons with the Knights before switching to South Sydney in 2018.

“I have been here for three years and we have been to three prelims,” Gagai said.

“That has been pretty frustrating. I just want to win a grand final. That is my motivation. As frustrating as it has been not to make the grand final for the last three years, we have put ourselves in a position to be contenders. That has happened by hard work and we have a great side here. I believe we have a team that can have a red-hot crack and I want to be a part of it.”

Far out for Gagai to take a pay cut that would be pretty amazing but a lot to expect from a Origin centre/winger.

Awesome stuff from Gags. The South Sydney spirit runs strongly through his veins!
Certainly does Jim!! It's like he never played for anyone else!

I agree, it is a lot to expect which would make it all the more remarkable. If it happens, hats off to Gags honestly.

Promising that Gagai seems to be hinting at staying. Though it hasn't seemed to be money offered that Reynolds is upset with.

Souths refuse to budge on contract offer to skipper as rival NRL clubs circle: https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...t/news-story/4274f1b786e05628284bdab0db169652

This is getting to the stage where I can't believe what's happening. I can't believe our club is doing this to one of our greatest of all time. It seems like such a silly thing, just give him two years for crying out loud!!! I hope with all my heart that if we continue to not budge, Reyno decides to just back himself and accept the one year offers but to be honest, I can't see that happening. From the way his manager is talking, it sounds like he'll leave if he can't get a multi year deal. That will leave me and thousands of other Souths fans shattered I'm sure.

I'm with you Callmack. The club is making a very serious error here. I thought the petition would make them see some sense but they appear to have dug their heels in. I'm starting to get really worried, I just hope the club wakes up to themselves before it's too late. Come on Souths, the vast majority of your fans are telling you what you need to do, JUST DO IT!!!

Can’t see him there’: Bunnies set to lose inspirational skipper
Dean Ritchie
Daily Telegraph
24th March 2021

Adam Reynolds’ manager has publicly confirmed for the first time what every Souths fan was fearing – the Rabbitohs star is preparing to quit Redfern.

Several clubs are privately discussing Reynolds although no official approaches have yet been lodged.

The five clubs that could consider Reynolds are Wests Tigers, Gold Coast, North Queensland, Cronulla and Brisbane.

Leading player agent Steve Gillis told The Daily Telegraph his client would have no choice but to walk away unless the unlikely scenario plays out that Souths relent and offer Reynolds a new deal spanning two or three years.

Souths management is refusing to buckle and their offer for Reynolds spans just 12 months.

Gillis has attempted to avoid commenting on the Reynolds stand-off but finally relented on Wednesday, declaring: “Unless things change and Souths reassess their position, I don’t envisage Adam will be there in 2022. Unless Souths are prepared to move, I can’t see him there.

“Adam would love to stay but Souths run the risk of losing him – that is reality which is drawing closer every day if Souths stall on a second year. Souths have stuck firm on their position since the get-go and that’s fine.

“I would assume Souths have weighed this up carefully before making their decision to offer a one-year contract.”

Reynolds, who remains in doubt for Friday night’s match against Sydney Roosters with concussion, could attract a three-year deal worth around $2.1 million.

Coach Jason Demetriou is a huge Reynolds fan, but the Rabbitohs are arguing they are being financially prudent with their contract negotiations.

A fan-initiated online petition supporting the off-contract Reynolds has already attracted 2200 signatures.

“Understandably, Adam is determined to secure a longer term deal. He has a wife and four young children and wants the security of knowing where he will be from a longer term point of view,” Gillis said.

“I will continue to explore all options for him and I am sure there will be plenty of interest in him after clubs have had a chance to assess their rosters and look to the future.

“The market will surge in about four-to-six weeks’ time and I anticipate there will be plenty of interest in his services.

“He’s premiership winner, an Origin representative, a captain and a leading point scorer and you can add to that he has the best kicking game in the NRL.”

Souths want to retain Reynolds but the club does not want to be pressured into beefing up the contract offer.

If Reynolds were to shift to the Tigers they could move Luke Brooks to five-eighth.

Tom Dearden is off contract Brisbane, Ash Taylor’s deal at Gold Coast ends after this season, North Queensland will have a halves vacancy with Jake Clifford leaving the Cowboys while Cronulla’s Chad Townsend has yet to take up an option in his favour for 2022.

Given it’s only round three, most clubs will wait at least a month before initiating any formal approach for Reynolds.

Reynolds was concussed against Manly last weekend with a final decision on his availability for the Roosters game likely to come on Friday morning.
