Wayne totally owning Cleary on and off the field this week, masterful performance from creeping Jesus. If the club doesn't have a serious crack at him they aren't trying.

He wrapped his arms. Didn't continue trying to smash him when it was obvious the ball had been kicked. It's a strange rule

He kinda pulled out of the tackle, but not the contact, he has to wrap his arms and give him a big hug, then place him down gently, like you might a small child.

But seriously, he doesn't wrap his arms, once the balls been kicked the onus is on the defence not to do to anything much more than wrap the player up, every match you'll see at least a couple of super soft tackles on the kicker, where you think why bother. That's because the rule is being interpreted pretty harshly, just like this incident.

Irony ?

The NRL has moved to abolish the controversial "field goal wall" following Monday's coaches' conference despite the governing body deeming it legal just five months ago.

The controversial tactic was employed by the Warriors in their round 14 loss to Sydney Roosters when they lined up five players beside the play the ball in an attempt to shield halfback Shaun Johnson from on-rushing defence as he slotted a one-pointer.
