Be interesting to see how many Swans fans come from north of the harbour. I’ve worked with a bunch of ex Bears fans that turned to AFL when their club got shafted.

At least in Newcastle i've seen far more interest in womens AFL than the men's game. It's a smart way to get women and children in the game.

Having said that I wouldn't be panicking because a single AFLW game got a decent crowd in Sydney.

The 1909 GF actually attracted a crowd of 20,000 and saw a grand total of 1 play from 1 team vs thin air. More people watched a team kick off to no one and score a try in 1909 than the amount that watch the Roosters today.

Penrith and Cronulla's selfishness shows what's wrong with RL. Didn't even play finals at suburban grounds back in the old days, they were all at the SCG.
