Officially a sell out for the SFS opening

I look forward to being told it is 80% souths fans.
Unlike Melbourne's sell out, this one is actually legit. They might release a few tickets that were held back for promoters and sponsors, but she's done.

I'm randomly in Sydney Friday night, so I am constantly checking ticketek in hope to grab two ha

That is what I am saying. No team should play a final at their home ground, including Brisbane and Melbourne. All games should be at neutral stadiums, except the Grand Final at Accor.
All games at Wembley just to be fair

Been a good year for crowds generally with not too many sub 10k ones. Broncos showing some form, commbank boosting and Penrith getting their avg up a few thousand as league leaders key factors. Warriors finally being home has helped counterbalance their poor crowds early season and Knight fans just being amazing as ever despite the sht they get served up by their team.
Lowering factors of more games in small regional grounds, sharks being capped and rain in NSW hasnt dragged it down too far. Good to see and lots of positives to build on. Hopefully Dolphins can avg more than 15k and bring it up next year and more games at new stadiums will hopefully help as well.
I think potentially having some of the big Sydney teams deliver would help. Teams like the tigers and dogs have huge fan bases but have just been shit for too long. Hell just give some of these teams a sniff of the top 8 and we might see some decent crowds.

When is the last time two regular season home games were sold out in the same round?

There were 3 the other week but it was Rockhampton and Shark Park included.

This would be the 1st time I can remember, Full capacity selling out

I think the trick to increasing crowds will be to increase the crowd when things arent so good. There will always be people who attend when teams are winning, and tbh I dont blame the so called band waggoners. You wouldn't keep going to a restaurant and paying $100 if the food and service was sht.
Convincing more people to be full members and making it cheaper so if the games not great you dont feel ripped off are big ones in bringing that lower crowd threshold up. Clubs that are having a poor year having game day promotions and ticket enticements would also help.

Secondly getting away fans to games for those in Sydney v Sydney games. If we say every club has around 12k committed fans who turn up regardless of form then getting half of them at least to away games would make a big difference. Scheduling, venue choice and reciprocal memberships are two ways that can be achieved. With 5 Sydney clubs now playing games at venues under the same SMC its time to be negotiating. SMC benefits from food and drink sales, slice of corporate sales the more people in the stadium.

Despite a pretty good year coming off covid the avg will still be sitting at just above 15k, it hasn't really moved more than a fluctuating up and down 5-10% per year in 20 years.

I don’t disagree with this necessarily but having some of your biggest clubs consistently at the bottom of the ladder whilst less supported ones dominate is going to have an impact. Especially when some of them like the dragons have done such a good job supporting away games as well.

Its def an influencer but the avg has hardly altered in twenty years, there must have been some years in that when the so called bigger drawing clubs have been in top 8? There are det some clubs were the difference between a good year and a bad one are bigger drop offs than at others.
