The Game 2022 Crowd Watch

2 reasons

Despite what souths fans will claim, parra are easily the biggest fanbase in Sydney. Also nothing brings out fans like a potential drought breaking run, see dragons in 2010 and souths 2014 as examples. There is a real feeling this could be the year for parra.

Having said that, I'm not advocating for it to be moved. The NRL rules state week 1 games can be played at regular venues and Penrith finished first. I'm just saying I couldn't blame the NRL if they did move it.

Back with the neutral stadium rule Pre Covid

Penrith had 17,168 v Warriors Accor
19,211 v Sharks SFS
15,408 v Manly SFS
22,631 v Bulldogs SFS

Maybe you add 10-15k extra to that, Still is going to look poor in an 85k Stadium

As for the change in the rule, I agree you need to give the higher placed team a benefit

it'd get 50K on its ear with Parramatta involved , homebush is just up the road

& anyway
who cares if its only half full , thats still double the crowd then what penrith could get , anyone who wants to attend ... can

locking people out because you .. choose .. to play in a tiny shithole is unacceptable
wake up NRL

its the 2020's
not the 1970's

Would the Roosters move next weeks game because they would get more than 40k?
I don’t think so, so why should Penrith?

Besides we don’t have a tiny shithole, and we would choose to pay out of a modern Penrith Stadium if the government did I the right thing and built lt!

Point me to where Accor has got that week 1 in the finals? There was a reason the league rightfully change that rule

Both Panthers and Eels fans get the same access to tickets.
NRL approved it to be there

So keep whinging you whiny f**khead

They wouldn't get more than 40k at homebush week 1. In 2014 they got 50k for a prelim.

SFS is absolutely the best place for any and all games between rooster and souths
