You have no need to watch FTA. You would get more casuals when there were less viewers.

Like Cricket or Tennis before. If you change channels for RL. You get the same 3m tuning in just for another network.

You need to get less people on streaming services to improve FTA numbers across the board. An extra % of those will tune in.

Then the ratings lift.

You're not providing proper context when stating this. All FTA viewing is in rapid decline.

The audience share for the 2014 game, would be a more apt comparison.

My commentary runs to sport, not to general television ratings. there are other twitter feeds for that. The ratings are down. Period. Thats a factual statement borne out by the ratings data.

I should note that the ratings commentary included streaming ratings for Origin 1 as given by Nines data, not just FTA ratings. TOTAL ratings for this event were down, not just FTA. And when i compared 2019 and 2022, that also included streaming as well as broadcast television.

I offered no context at all, and if you wanted specific audience share data , you only have to write to oztam to get it yourself. Nine publicity declined to provide it to us.

I am trying to find it. you might have it. The ratings for those mega days? from Memory it was around 10m watching FTA.

4m for all of FTA now. Out of 25m people says more for the platform then the content

A major reason ratings are down has to be because there was zero build up to the game outside of the usual. Everything Paul Kent said was right.

Why do only a quarter as many people tune in to watch Volkanovski fight in UFC compared to McGregor even though Volk is the better all round fighter?

They need to drop this nice guy act. It bores all the casual viewers to death and gives them no reason at all to tune in.

Do you know how the ratings work?

X family has a ratings box. Records how many people are watching a program. That is entered and a formula works out the number.

2013 there were less options. Couldn't stream so likely would have say a family of 5 watching.

Now you might have the parents only with the kids streaming something else.

So instead of entering 5. It is 2 watching. Ratings are down but same amount of houses watching.

It is an outdated way of doing it that hasn't moved with the times but it is the system they use. So is fair for all programming

Any issue in game the default take is either ch9's or PVL fault.
