Will you please move along and stop harassing me on line?

OK so let me get this straight. I'm not allowed (according to you) be part of a conversation about the footy team I support.

Silverdale, I was responding to you casting a line, within the Penrith's and Manly's thread.

That's all.

There is a solution.........stop baiting others, and enter into a sound discussion about this match.

Time for Luai to prove he can be the man

I agree. The brains trust also must 'tinker' with the game plan.

No one can replicate Nathan. A game plan which suits Luai and Sean's gifts and talents.

Luai must must must run when ever possible,

Leave the game management to Sean.

I suspected Ivan was being a bit sneaky when he said Nate would play after the last Morris dancing trial.

The hope was that Des and co would plan for his continued tenure.

If the squad can even be competitive against what is looking like a lethal Manly outfit this season, that would be a good result.

The weather should help the Panthers. Slow the game down significantly.

Tell the groundskeepers to go a bit slow!

The expectation should be a close result or a loss in this one.

I have little to no doubt that Nate was never going to play and reports of him training in his accustomed role were deliberately false and misleading. Fake news-That’s all appropriate of course.

The main task v Manly would be to hold the fort in terms of injury and suspension.

A better chance against the Saints ( but no pushover) while any kind of loss to the knights, even without Nate, would spell doom and gloom as they have that Harried Turkey element about them this year. No halves.

So don’t invest too much into it. The fall will be greater if you do. A bridge too far without Nate with engines still to warm up.

Manly are wonderfully coached and ready to go.

No suprises 1-17.

Bit strange lindsay smith isnt on extended bench and thought chris smith mightve got the last bench spot.

Wonder if hes moved tago to the right?

Lindsay didn't trial - he'll need a few weeks to get up to speed.

One advantage of our NRL team playing before NSW Cup is that our 18th Man from Thursday night will be able to play NSW Cup on Sunday if they're not used. At this time of year, we need to maximise the minutes our fringe players are getting so they're ready for the call up when it comes.

Really happy turuva is the #1 in cup. The fact jenkins is wing is probably an indication of where they see him playing.

Im happy for staines to get first shot but really wouldve loved to see may and tago on the right together.

Overall, you take nathan, burton, capewell out of that team from last year and we are significantly weaker imo.

Just looking out our 1-17 without nathan and id say he improves that team by 30 to 40% by himself. I get why they arent risking him, and happy they are playing it safe. Just saying we certainly arent as strong across the board this year.

A few injuries and we will be in real strife.

Hoping we have enough strike without nath to get it done but i think manly are going to be very tough. Especially given that alot of our blokes have had a limited pre season and no trial games. Going to be a tough night and close game i think.

Just looking at all the 1-17s.
Hard to go past the chooks at full strength. I imagine suali comes back in at centre for them. They have a brilliant pack and strong bench.

Few strange decisions by griffin. Burgess is 5 x better than laurie. And no tariq sims is very strange..hes there best forward. But overall i like the look of their team. Its a nice mix of youth and experience.

Naden and burns isnt the strongest centre pairing for the dogs. Can see them both struggling.

Will be an interesting opening month i think.

Toni Tupouniua in reserve grade must be related to Sitili? Also they only named 16 in reserve grade? I know someone will drop down from the extended NRL bench but dont they normally name a full 17?

Dogs will be leaking plenty of points looking at that team. Tariq must really be on the outer there
