I'm glad Staines is there, at least if he doesn't make it long term Ivan can't be accused of not giving him a shot.

Taylan missing the 1st trial basically saw it go this way.

We can see if Staines learnt from his dropping if not some options to come in

Then who covers wing?

Either way we need coverage in the 17. Hooker and 3 props on the bench is dumb.

Mind games as the premiers back at home 1st time since June. Where we haven't lost since 2019 is even dumber

Gosh do you walk round each and every day with a black cloud over your head.

I am sure the coaches have thought about these things.

Good chance maybe someone like May comes in on the bench for such an occurance.

Yeo can play centre, has done in the past.

Crighton to fullback

Yeo to centre, one of the backrowers into lock.

Nor perfect but it could work.

Nates largely unrecognised “everywhere scrimmage” game will be sorely missed. His desperate hunger for possession at all costs.

O’Sullivan is factory benchie who can’t kick a ball if his life depended on it.

There’s no “next man up” like last year, but the lack of fat on the bench for all clubs seems to be the way it is this year. It’s not just a Panther thing.

There’s a small chance of a draw if Kiks can play near his devastating, jaw dropping, optimum. Kiks owes the club big time.

Yeo is years past centre, he's way too big now

People saying Burto can’t ignite at the dogs, too many flips mixed in amongst the marquee.

Better to take the tackle on the last than pass to Meaney.

People are so cruel.

This years smug doesn’t have the same sense of extremes.

In Origin no less. However, in our side this is seriously weakening two positions as well as losing an absolutely vital link player in the attack. At a club level I think Yeo's days covering centre are behind him. The sad truth is that genuine utilities are like hens teeth which is why the coach was desperate to keep the one we had.

and it's why he will be back on our books comes 2023.....despite the cancel culture group with torches up held.

@Aliceinwonderland I suggest you look closer at the various 17's named

For example Manly have an outside back in the 14

Knights have Mann who can cover anywhere in the backs in 13

Souths have a backrower who has played lots of centre

Roberts for Broncs etc

Next man up means nothing when HIA hit.

I’d say both sides will have trained in some shocking weather ivans been planning to play without Nate since the gf for an extended period

Youre going to have to really shirt-front DCE or he will dominate and punish you.

it’s a game for your lazy marquee to put their hand up.

Brian v Saab on the wing on a wet track should be magic, a contest in its own right. Chaos in the wet!

Not surprised by the 1-17 named and I expect that is how they will lineup. Thought Smith or Hopgood May have got first crack in front of Eusinhuth but he rarely lets us down so good luck to Matt otherwise as expected.

If that is the 17 that runs out

We will have big issues.

Not just May's flexibility but Capewell and Burton not being there limits things

Hopefully, the wet conditions nullify the impact of the Sea Eagles back three. I think this game is going to be a very tough hard fought contest where minimising mistakes and maintaining good field position will be critical.

Their back 3 don't do the hard slogs well. Speed is where they burn us

That’s an entirely different issue, retention issue, they are no longer with us, we have to deal with it.

We have to work with the top 30 squad that we currently have no point complaining about what we no longer have.
