Communications minister MICHELLE ROWLAND enters AFL rights negotiations process
The declaration by the recently appointed communications minister comes as the Foxtel Group and Channel 7 move into the final stages of negotiations to secure AFL rights for beyond 2024.

So Seven will stand their ground- Foxtel won't up their bid. For example it's estimated that Foxtel payed $233 in the upcoming 23-24 side deal. AFL wi;ll be lucky to get $240m from Foxtel with Seven anywhere between $146m and $190m with a tens of millions of contra and padding. In 6 months time the NRL starts their over $400m contract-
The NRL is sitting pretty well.
