We KNOW specifically what Nine are paying for 2023 from Nines ASX announcement that they are only paying 112m in cash + 14.5m in contra. Where the hell did you even get 162m from?

This was also reported in the Financial Review, the ABC, the SMH, and others.

The same ASX statement says Nine are paying 130m cash and contra on average from 2023-2027. This is as opposed to Seven paying an average of 146m for 2020-2024.

Why are you interested in who wins the fta battle in 23&24?
the nrl in 23&24 will get $402mill inc radio rights, the afl will get $423mill exc radio rights. Everything else is superfluous.

nrl is getting $130mill in fta rights (which also include radio rights) of which $115mill is cash.
I doubt afl are getting less than that from seven plus radio rights, especially given the last seven deal ws an avg of $146mill and we know 23&24 will be up on that And radio was $10mill.

Yeah f***them both and also V’Landys. We need to get somebody completely outside of the game, away from the baggage and the history of how it has been run, including its relationship with the media.

Essentially they don’t respect the game, so in order to change that, you need to change your organisation and in doing so command that respect.

Radio isn’t important though. It would be worth what $5 m or $10m

What facts are you looking for?
In terms of radio for nrl it sits in the ch9 $130mill deal.
for afl last deal was worth $10mill a year and it’s up for sale for next year onwards.

$10m a year relative to a deal of say $400 m or more, is not that important. You are essentially looking at a percentage of 2.5%. It’s minuscule and it isn’t the reason why we are getting smashed.

No it’s not, but if you consider it’s nearly the cost of an extra club then it doesn’t look so minor!
But the ppint is not that we arent getting any radio rights value, just that it is sitting in the ch9 deal,which makes that deal in comparison to afls fta deal look even worse.,

It’s ridiculous. The sheer amount of money difference and people on here are still trying to argue that our deal was good or that the next deal will be fine.

They honestly don’t respect our game and the reason is because our administration doesn’t deserve to be respected. Look at alternatives rather than settling. It is like people being in an abusive relationship (perhaps that is a poor analogy but the relationship is still the same)

I did put up facts. You've pulled revenue figures from nowhere.

And the whole point is your excluding stuff that doesnt suit your narrative while allowing the inclusion of things that..also dont fit your narrative. But hey none of it matters, because your figures arent based on reality anyway.

The bloke who is now the Logan mayor spoke about a decade ago about merging the Slacks Creek Lions, Springwood Tigers and Rochedale Tigers into a mega club and basing it out of Cronulla Park. V’Landys or whoever could go to Foxtel or Nine and ask them for an increase or to re-negotiate and they will tell them tough luck we have already signed the contract and f*** off

Our only hope is to start a rebel competition. It would help get us away from News Ltd/Ch9 and rid the game of the toxic power brokers from Sydney.
