Rugby League is setting record crowd numbers in 2023.
Reality is winter and origin are around the corner (origin being the bigger impact)

the addition of the dolphins was always going to raise the crowd average

with so many games in poor crowd slots due to broadcasting we are always limited to what crowds we can achieve

So Bathurst and Wagga will bring the crowds for next round down but it's countered by taking games to country areas. Canberra v Dolphins should draw well, I'm sure many will go to see the new fish in the tank.

Predicting Round 9 - I think the height of the average comes down to how Suncorp and Mt Smart go. Eels Fri 6pm an unknown quantity IMO
