The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

Broncos crowds are looking so weird these days. I've been to games where a crowd was 43k and looked significantly less (no one in level 7 north). I wonder how many tickets were sold/ how many member no shows there were - very sparse lower bowl. Glad there were 40k!

Another example, Broncos vs Penrith semi in 2017 had no one in level 7 at all and the crowd was 38,900.

Great crowd at Suncorp tonight!!

If you take the top 10 regular season crowds (excluding Magic Round) from 2022 and compare them with 2023, the aggregate for 2023 is already greater than 2022...and we're only a third of the way through the season!!

Furthermore, 8 of the top 10 crowds in 2023 and bigger than their corresponding number in 2022.

Lastly, crowds are up across the board. Brisbane has been going great guns, but its actually a 5-5 split for the 10 biggest crowds between Brisbane and Sydney, compared to 7-3 in 2022. It's safe to say there's more big Broncos crowds to come this year though.

Broncos in 95 wher

Broncos avg in 95 was close to 40k and the crushers 14k or so

almost 30 years later and with a new brisbane club it’s a little bit more

broncos are lazy and hopefully dolphins will encourage them to get bigger crowds

I thought the Crushers averaged around 21k in 95.

We've been f**ked with the draw this year and also for crowds, two friday 6pm games so far. Our first game of the season was on Thursday night and the GF replay as well. As usual our club is too gutless to say anything to the NRL but they put a game on in a decent timeslot and it was over 27k.

Dolphins v Eels at Sunshine Coast Stadium is officially sold out in Round 17.

Shame expansion work on the stadium doesn't start till next year.

Still pulling decent crowds shows the level of support the eels have. They really need to rethink Friday 6pm only can work with nz, Canberra,Newcastle, North Queensland and even the regional games.

*Parramatta fans were mobilised after last year and they have a top 3 NRL stadium in the country*

The NRL be like: "nah we prefer it if you just watch on tv lol".

Why wouldn't they play Parra at Suncorp??? Talk about not wanting to maximise your crowds once again.

Yeah the Gabba might do ok for the Brisbane derby but the novelty will wear off quickly. Same with storm games and roosters at the scg
Storm are yet to finalise a venue for these rounds

Their hope is docklands but the afl have yet to release their draw for those rounds

They've stated the games will 100% be in Melbourne in a venue large enough for all members to attend, but if docklands isn't available I'm not sure where that leaves other than leaving Melb for Geelong
