Probably be similar to whatever they would get at AAMI.

Only advantage is the weather with the roof shut might get a few extra there.
I very much doubt they will be putting the rectangular seats out for regular season games as it messes up the turf and theyll likely be afl games the same weekends, so they'll probably draw less than they would at aami

Being smart with advertising and pricing will offset this though, and they have just released a 2 game "marvel membership" for $35

Just watched the press release and our ceo is "hoping" to push for around 30,000 at both

Also that the club requested friday night fixtures against a well drawing opponents to help sell it as an event

Should market it as Sydney v Melbourne. See if they can beat Sydney's highest attendance this year (40,191). I'm sure melburnians would love to brag about that.

they are, CEO called it "our little origin, Sydney vs Melbourne" (funny, but sure if it works)

$35 for 2 games is great value, and a lot of RL fans (me included) would be interested to see RL under a roof as a once (or twice) off event, so should be a decent crowd

33,427 is our Melbourne crowd record (2007 prelim @ docklands), hopefully we can at the least push that
28,716 is our Melbourne HA record (2018 anzac @ aami)
37,112 is our highest ever (2020 prelim @ suncorp), honestly think 40k for these games is a stretch unless there's a significant increase on the usual away support

Surprised the landlord at marvel was cool with this

Money talks I suppose
yeah they're being paid, why wouldn't they be

Regardless Storm and the Melbourne afl clubs don't have any animosity, they work together on a lot of training/coaching sessions etc. & Storm's current CEO was an executive at Essendon for 10 years, I'm sure he has connections still within the AFL admin

the whole NRL v AFL hatred thing is limited mostly to online forums and the media

It's great to see the Storm setting some ambitious targets for these matches and trying to drive up some hype.

I had feared that they would take a cost minimisation approach for the Marvel games and there would be between 12K - 16K rattling around in the venue, but to their credit they are doing the exact opposite.

Here's hoping they can hit their targets, would be a huge boost to the Storm's averages.

And bump memberships too. I know they’ve set some pretty ambitious targets for that also. Great work storm!

Update on Origin in Adelaide.

Looks like bottom section is almost gone and second row also..

But $600 to take your family is a major dupe.😳

We were going to fly from Melbourne for this, but turns out the ticket prices were the deterrent rather than the flight prices!

I don't understand why the NRL charges these extravagant prices, especially when bills, home loans, food are going up and up..
