Season Total: 2,367,096 / Average per match: 18,492

Getting so close to that 20 000 season average that we have all thought for years was near impossible.
Crowds this season have been incredible. A couple of teams have let it down on the odd occasion but so many are performing so well.
Newcastle, Dolphins, Cowboys, Broncos, Panthers and Warriors are smashing it. Roosters hanging off a few elite games but doing ok.
Dragons, Bulldogs, Storm, Souths and even Eels disappointing for various reasons.
Sharks a joke (shit ground). Manly a basic pass mark - just. Tigers - enuff said.
Raiders a pass. Titans sort of ok considering their recent years.
It has been a sensational season though crowd wise and I love the fact that almost every game has a great crowd and great atmosphere.

Scheduling Broncos v Dolphins (sold out - maybe 35k @ Gabba)during the WWC also knocks 15k off the total. Bizzare scheduling.

Got to stop inextricably linking crowds with playing form if NRL is to fulfil its potential as a spectator sport. Focus more on the enjoyment of going to a game with fellow supporters.

Sick of seeing posts like "if they win this week, they should get a good crowd next week" or "they deserved a poor crowd today because they were rubbish". This is how English Soccer was in the 80s when crowds had fallen and that game was at its lowest ebb.

EPL fans still bellyache as much as NRL fans (about results, performances, players, managers, refs, all the usual stuff) but it doesn't affect attendance. All just part of following a team.

Fingers crossed NQ can get 20k+ this weekend.

Haven't had many Saturday later arvo/night games this year so hopefully the good folk of the north get out and amongst it.

Australians aren't soap dodgers
we don't reward mediocrity , we have a plethora of other things to do that poms don't in the sad grey miserable little towns they live in

well , actually ..on reflection
fumbles & feebles fans defy that , so the statement should be
NRL fans don't reward mediocrity...
