Was State of Origin 2 not a Rugby League game held in Brisbane? The AFL is free to put on a QLD v NSW AFL game, but I can tell you it wouldn't get anywhere near the attention that the RL version gets. The AFL is more than welcome to host their Reach Around in Brisbane, but it won't be attended like the RL version is. Sounds like you are just complaining for the sake of it. If you don't like the post then just keep scrolling. I've presented the crowd averages for Lions, Broncos and Dolphins without any of the extra stuff and you still whinge.

And just for your info I've checked the top 10 without Origin and Magic and the Lions only feature twice, so yeah RL absolutely dominates with or without the (legitimate) other games of RL in this city.
Somebody has to keep people like you honest...

Broncos games V Dolphins & Parramatta in the next few weeks at the Gabba , the top ten Brissie crowds will be

NRL,
10 to

0
The current AFL record crowd there is 37,478 which they might break. The best post-redevelopment crowd is 39,874 set during a ODI in 2006. 8 out of 15 of the best crowds since 2003 at The Gabba are currently Cricket matches

I don't think we will beat this crowd unfortunately. This is is 100% capacity after the new screens were popped in and the Broncos are utilising a few sections for GA (which are filled to about 75%) and another section called 'Sonny's' which has drinks and standing areas, so I think that drops capacity a bit.

I think it might be 35.5k but that is a complete guess.

Given we keep talking about AFL v NRL crowds...

Something sparked my interest the other day. AFL fans keep laughing at NRL crowds being tiny, yet it also seems AFL crowds are more frequently below 10k.

Afl fans are morons. They are a distinct group of utter dickheads. Their opinions need to be considered in that light.

Yet another bumper crowd for a Thursday. I rember not along Thursday games would be attended by the players family and close friends only.

How good does it look on TV with a full crowd ? Makes you feel like you're watching an event rather than watching an game no one cares about.

Anyone have any idea if the tv audience is up this season ??

Tv audience across all platforms is up well over 10% this year. Closer to 20.

I lost my dad to brain cancer earlier this year , I'll be at the Raiders /Titans game on Sat & will be purchasing a beanie. It shouldn't take that to motivate me tho , its a worthy cause

the sad reality is ..... most of us at some point in our lives will have a relative or someone we know affected by some form of cancer
Its a scourge ...
I lost my niece (30 yrs old) to brain cancer. It's a devastating disease.

I’m so sorry mate. We just had good news today about one of my family we thought might have brain cancer. Last three weeks have been awful waiting for the results. Family is all that matters. Hold them close brother.

Again, what is dishonest about the figures?

Broncos v Lions v Dolphins - club game crowd averages H2H

All RL v All AFL games held in Brisbane averages H2H

Top 10 sporting crowds in Brisbane this year

Three separate data sets, is it really that hard to get your head around? You'd have a point if I was adding the State of Origin crowd into the Dolphins' season average or something like that to boost it up
