The top ten crowds almost certainly wouldn't be as dominated by RL if you were comparing club games, i.e. like for like, and you intentionally chose to present the data in the manner you have to make it look like RL is more dominant than it actually is.

It's disingenuous, and you'd (rightly) be the first to complain if an AFL fan or pundit was misrepresenting the statistics in a similar way.

thats fine, I just think if you're doing it as a boast for RL then it's not really saying much. Like it or not Lions get a pretty decent crowd when they are going well. However there is no reason why NRL can't achieve good crowds in Perth with an expansion team and it doesn't have to beat the AFL teams there.

It's not really a boast, out of personal interest I'm keeping a track of where the Dolphins slot into the existing landscape alongside the well-established Broncos and Lions

Early talk for next Sunday's Titans vs Dolphins but:
Seats in section 30 and green bays are down to single seat. expect sections 31, 32, 13 & 14 to open up. GA has two sections supposedly occupied by those who bought the Footy pass deal we have going on currently (pick any 4 games to go to this season for like $100 i think?). Once we enter next week I'll try count each seat daily like I have done in the past to try get a rough estimate of what's left for the public and member entitlements, etc.

Was State of Origin 2 not a Rugby League game held in Brisbane? The AFL is free to put on a QLD v NSW AFL game, but I can tell you it wouldn't get anywhere near the attention that the RL version gets. The AFL is more than welcome to host their Reach Around in Brisbane, but it won't be attended like the RL version is. Sounds like you are just complaining for the sake of it. If you don't like the post then just keep scrolling. I've presented the crowd averages for Lions, Broncos and Dolphins without any of the extra stuff and you still whinge.

And just for your info I've checked the top 10 without Origin and Magic and the Lions only feature twice, so yeah RL absolutely dominates with or without the (legitimate) other games of RL in this city.

My team merged with Brisbane and it felt like we lost our identity. So out of curiosity I went to a Storm game and I was hooked. .I became a member in 99(cos I didn't think they did memberships and by the time I found out we did it was too late to join in the first year) I went up for our first GF in Sydney.
