Indeed, what is the NRL thinking? They should have made sure the home teams won.Two home sides going down infront of huge attendances, not bloody good.

Yeah hahaIndeed, what is the NRL thinking? They should have made sure the home teams won.
Brilliant crowd given she stands were still in oval configuration. Bit of drizzle around so having the roof closed would have helped. Storm could possibly consider playing big finals there - they would be able to bring the stands in for finals
You might be right. What Sydney NRL crowds besides SOO, 2 x Prelims and the GF could draw more than 32k this season? Only other possibility O can think of would be a South’s v Parra week 1 final. Unless the ladder changes dramatically, other finals will be at sub 32k stadiums, or in other states.Check the list again at the end of the season and the South Melbourne Swans will be lucky to have two of the top 10 crowds of the year
That highest of 28,716 is ANZAC Day 2014 rather than 2013 (which was 25,480)New record for the Storm at Docklands (previous was 25480 v Dragons in 2010) and second highest Storm crowd in Melbourne (highest was 28716 for ANZAC Day in 2013 & third is 25731 for ANZAC Day in 2018)
Shame the games weren’t closer but those are bloody good crowd. Gonna be a great week in general for crowds. Hope the NRL can keep this going in future years, it’s crazy how good crowds are right now. Haven’t felt this much positivity around the game in decades.
I thought the glory days were 1989-1995 ?Results aside those are 2 amazing crowds.
never felt as good following RL down under since the glory days of the ealry-mid 90’s.

Um, Teddy, except for 89 that is the early to mid 90s.I thought the glory days were 1989-1995 ?
I'm talking how the game grew with the Tina Turner years from 1989-1995.Um, Teddy, except for 89 that is the early to mid 90s.
That's exactly what he said glug glug.I'm talking how the game grew with the Tina Turner years from 1989-1995.
Agreed. You read comments about the ‘dire’ state of the game turning spectators and viewers off. Some dumb ignorant stuff out there.I think the figures largely speak for themselves about how good the game is going at the moment, but you wouldn't believe it if you followed social media
Youd think it would be worth the NRL doing a bit of self promotion, highlighting the current state of the game
Maybe Souths v Chooks in Rd 27... it's at Accor, not Allianz thoughYou might be right. What Sydney NRL crowds besides SOO, 2 x Prelims and the GF could draw more than 32k this season? 89‘ aside that’s the ver definition of what I said.I thought the glory days were 1989-1995 ?
Prior to super league and RU going professional.I'm talking how the game grew with the Tina Turner years from 1989-1995.
I think its essentially the same as anywhere where you offer a larger capacity venue, more people are likely to turn up simply on the basis that there are more seats, there's more space and you're less likely to miss out.A question for Melbourne based Storm fans... why would a bigger crowd turn up at Docklands than would have at Aami? Docklands is less than ideal for watching RL and Aami would have a better RL match atmosphere... just curious. Was it the novelty factor?
I know that the novelty factor of the Broncos playing at the Gabba has quite a few interested up here despite being inferior to Suncorp for RL
We already got ours
