Going to be a decent little venue too!For those saying the Sunshine Coast Stadium capacity should be expanded, the work to accommodate this will begin from next year:
As part of the work an additional 10,768 permanent seats will be added, bringing the total seating capacity to 11,814 and total venue capacity to 16,000.
Additional temporary seating will also be added in the lead up to Brisbane 2032 which will see the venue hold more than 20,000.
Haven’t you heard? The Jets are going to PerthTalking about crowds you should see the crowd at Henson Park, it's packed to the rafters. They have to shut the gates it's that full.
Bring back Newtown Jets
Of course I have, when though? In 2030?Haven’t you heard? The Jets are going to Perth
NRL’s push into WA: Could Perth be the new town for Newtown?
One of Sydney’s oldest rugby league clubs, Newtown Jets, is in discussions with a WA Government working party to form a Perth-based NRL franchise.thewest.com.au
I'd doubt they'd be closing the gates , Henson park is a big ground that could still accommodate 15K plus fairly comfortablyOf course I have, when though? In 2030?
After seeing their crowd just before, they should stick to Sydney.
Great crowd at Henson, possibly the club's biggest for the Beer & Food Festival.
Reckon there would have to be close to 15K there today

As I watching it they mentioned, they were going shut the gates for safety reasonsI'd doubt they'd be closing the gates , Henson park is a big ground that could still accommodate 15K plus fairly comfortably
today was just a gala day anomaly
they'll be back to crowds of 800 to 1000 ish next home game or so
the Jets Brand is a strong one tho & if the bears continue to dilly dally then it might end up being the Perth Jets
I expect we will have team 18 before the end of this TV deal & it could be as soon as 2026 with announcement either late this year or early next.
I also think it will be Perth.
Another example of the BS nanny state we live inAs I watching it they mentioned, they were going shut the gates for safety reasons
We should have a beer and food festival at every NRL game also lol, probably get 5k more at gamesAnother example of the BS nanny state we live in
while there was a big crowd there today ( obviously ) .. as there was at Kogarah earlier in the year
there was room for a more ( not a lot , maybe a few thousand )
at both grounds
Sunshine Coast needs its own f**king team eventually.
Honestly reckon it'd do better than the GC. It's got far less of a transit lounge vibe than the Goldie and is between Wollongong and Newcastle in terms of population.
What’s the capacity?
