The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

Even Roosters fans are wanting us to move there! Uncle Nick needs to put rivalry aside for the good of the game. Plus it did cost $828m

I've always been an advocate of souths playing there. Pretty sure Nick is just trolling at this stage and wants to ensure they pay their way. I'm almost certain souths will move there next year.

It is a travesty that the next time we play will be at that soulless homebush shithole and unless it is a 2013 style minor premiership play-off, I doubt it gets more than 20k.

Look at next week even when you guys have a big game against an unbeaten Manly. It will probably get 15k and a shit atmosphere. At the SFS it probably goes 20k plus and a much better atmosphere.

Something is weird with the raiders game. I'm heading there on Sunday but haven't got tickets yet. Ticketek is busted and says you need a password haha

well thats weird

sales are going well though
very few bays available & within some of those not a great deal of seats to buy , while theres plenty in others.
GA .. who knows ?
The determing factor will be members ( Raiders have over 20K ), their seats are not for sale obviously & wether they attend at 6pm on a sunday will see a big crowd or not.

Crowds after three rounds last year were just on 360,000. After three round this year it will be more like 430,000 and will be close to cracking 600,000 after 4 rounds. This isn’t bad news.

it was 290K after 2 rounds
we've had 70K for the 1st 3 games of this round
roughly rounding up the next 5 this round ( conservatively)
Titans V Storm 12K
Cows V NZ 15K
Broncos V Dragons 30K
Bulldogs V Tigers 18K
Raiders V Sharks 15K
thats another 90K for a round total of 160K ... 450K for 3 rounds

Next week all based on fine weather
Thurs Parra V Penrith 25K
Fri Storm V Tigers 12K
Fri Phins V Broncos 50K
Sat Cows V Titans 15K
Sat Souths V Manly 15K
Sun NZ V Bulldogs 15K
Sun New V Raid 15K
Sun Dragons V Sharks 15K

162K ....... 612K for 4 rnds
an average of over 19,000
the first 4 rounds of 2022 were attended by 466K at an average of 14,562

Vlandysball giddy up

Perth Red , where are ya buddy? ... we have much to discuss

All fixed this morning! Bought about an hour ago and pax is 12900. That pax must not include corporates or code bookings, seems like far more than 12900 sold.

Estimating ahead we will almost certainly have over 1.1 million after round 8 (Anzac day round) and about 200,000 ahead of last year. Weather needs to be factored in but we are tracking around 20% in growth. That’s on top of last year’s improvement in attendances from 2019 (the most recent comparable year)

Yep I had those figures in mind for this round and round 4 but played conservative. Having a potential 30000 crowd every week and often more makes a big difference. This will sort out the weaker clubs over time and there might be some natural attrition. That’s why I hate this debate about chopping clubs. If it happens it should happen naturally. To survive smaller clubs will have to make some big decisions. The level of professionalism will be key and growth into new markets will be a logical outcome from that.

I thought I read it was only 1 year and they want to be at the SFS next year. Though I could be wrong. But if I’m right then in 2024 you’ll hear those turnstiles clicking.
