I'm just waiting for week 3 to attend a freaking game, and hopefully the people's team get done well done like my rump steak.

Broncos prelim venue is also listed as TBA

Interesting point, but our venue is obvious given that it satisfies the 25k requirement and Suncorp Stadium has already gone out with notifications.

Next weekend looks great for maximising crowds and tv audiences. What others do should not be our concern.
Exactly!!!

We're going head to head with a 90,000 crowd in Melbourne Friday Night...will it affect us? No!

It's a city of five million, with one rugby league team, what the AFL does isn't our problem.

Lions and Broncos have clashed multiple times, and they don't seem to affect one another. In fact, for a hypothetical Brisbanite who is riding both finals campaigns, it would be fun to watch on the split screen at the pub.

But at the end of the day, we do us, rugby league owns Brisbane, and we're showing mettle playing in Melbourne Friday Night!!!

10am on day of Panthers v Cows. The club got an email asking could they please roster extra staff on for the following Sat. Just left the times as TBA.

Would be the same here pending results of this weeks games

Channel 9s desire to have the first Semi Final at 4:05pm and second at 7:50pm makes it impractical to host a double header at the same venue.

You are pretty much leaving almost 2hrs for the crowd to sit around in a stadium with not much to do, which will just result in very little crossover of fans, which would look pretty average on TV.

That can easily be fixed by hosting a flick footy championship in between matches in which people in the crowd could participate. Who wouldn’t want to play!

Categories 1 & 2 in Melbourne are selling poorly. Category 3 behind the posts is selling really well.

Price is clearly the factor here.
Well you've gotta think that he hottest ticket in town is across the road. Once the AFL sells out casuals and fans of other AFL clubs will pivot to the Storm. Both games will sell out on Friday night, 130,000 people. There's nothing else to do in Melbourne than watch football. Really, the NRL could have even tried Marvel for 50k (view is not great though)

Hold an NRLW game in between! Could have played the Match of the Round Roosters-Knights then...

A double header would have drawn 60k IMO. Especially if direct trains were on from Central.

Actually, why don't all Homebush games have direct trains? Not even Souths v Easts did (well at least when I went)
