I think this average of 20k could easily be achieved with coherent stadium plan and properly planned marque events for Dragons, Bulldogs and Tigers (the roaming south West clubs). Plus moving Souths to moore park.

Make the 8pm Friday night at Moore park a weekly event between these clubs and roosters, when possible.

Seeing it written down like that takes me back to the days of some ferocious battles between those two teams forward packs. Boyle, Ayliffe, Carmody, Rampling, and on and on, christ, they`ve had some forwards.

The heat and humidity is putrid. I'd rather sit in -5c at Canberra stadium. At least you can get cosy with a beanie and a puffer jacket. You literally can't escape humidity.

It looks like there will be a few showers around in Sydney this coming week, so thinking it will have a negative effect on the Sydney attendances.

The weather, another Thursday night time slot and the Eels' bad start to the year will dilute the CommBank crowd and I think it will be just shy of 20k.

The Storm are looking to re-start their season and a very winnable Friday game with good weather in Melbourne + without competition from the AFL should help generate a reasonable crowd.

The Knights fans keep turning up regardless of how their team is performing, and the favourable 4pm game with decent weather means they should get another 20k+ crowd.

The Cowboys will be looking to make amends for the last two weeks and another Saturday evening game against another QLD team should prove to be good for more bums on seats even in the FNQ heat.

The big one is the Battle of Brisbane and whether it will crack the big 5-0. I say yes.

I'm not sure we should be laughing at A-League for getting a 29k crowd. It is less than ours the night before which is great but still a very good crowd.

Re: GC AFL, it looked at least 50% to me so 60% ain't a stretch. We might want to worry about our own GC crowd because i note no one has mentioned it here, aus stadiums has it as TBC and it looked grim on TV.

Please mods to deleate this as it be last post as I'm comparing the great crowd for the Roosters v Souths derby to the A-League.
Valheru: I noticed the same fixtute for the A-League so called derby on the 12th November was 34,232 and compare that to Souths v Roosters same time last year was 18,215 at Accor so that is a brilliant crowd the NRL got and long my it continue.
