The rest of their draw is rather favorable crowd wise with only one more Thursday match (Manly SCG) . There’s are fair chance they’ll average over 20k and have the biggest Sydney team crowds for 23’.

If there was a 30k stadium in Penrith a game against the Eels would sell out any day of the week.
It is obvious that if you have a shiny new 30k or 40k stadium like Easts and Parramatta you should top the average attendances.

Penrith drew just under 17k for the Thursday crowd on a wet night. This is around 80-85% capacity. 21k at Allianz is a brilliant crowd, but is just over 50% capacity!

Well you can look at that one of two ways. The first is your way.

The second is:
- Will Roosters vs Eels be scheduled on a Thursday night in 2024?
- Will the Eels be second last on the ladder the next time they play?

If the answer is "no" to either of those questions, another game in 2024 should be capable of drawing a comparable crowd.

The Eels will be back at Allianz for the R12 Indigenous Round game vs the Rabbitohs. The crowd for that game will shed some light on the sustainability of Eels fans coming east.

That article makes little sense. The writer contradicts themself over and over. Also are they saying that a large share of Swans attendees prefer RL? Seems odd. I reckon very few people have the time or the inclination to go to both AFL and NRL games.
