Ricky will have his team up for this. One thing he's good at is the us against them mentality I guess. I'm not sure where their points are going to come from though, we have been pretty good defensively throughout the year and crash play after crash play isn't going to work (not that it ever really does).

One thing Raiders have over us is they have some jumpers in their team; Rapana, Wighton etc and imo that's one of our weak points that our opponents haven't really exploited it lately. Ponga has improved, so has Marzhew, but for a tall bloke Young is sketchy as under the high ball.

Going to say Knights by 16 but the margin won't ever be more than that during the game.

Knights should rest Ponga for a chance in week 2

Knights making the finals is a succesful season - anything more is just a bonus from here

Ricky's Raiders too add to that negative F/A for 2023

knights 13+ easily

Yeah this is basically where I’m at as a fan after our start to the year. It’s just refreshing to know regardless of how the season finishes, we’ll go into next season optimistic for once.

Even though we made the finals in 2020 and 2021 it was more frustrating than anything because it smoothed over a lot of problems. I imagine similar to how Raiders fans feel now.

Now that the sludge is over its time for the main course.

Aaron OhBrian's bludgers from Bogancastle and the refs versus King Ricky's loveable geniuses from Paradise City.

Get on the green.

Lots of suspensions and short term injuries for the winning team please.

And golden point too would be nice

One thing going for us is we have more finals experience but not sure that's going to count for anything. Need Tapine, Paps, Wighton and Rapana to all play at their best.

The only good thing about Canberra is a mate has the landscaping and gardening contract for the whole of the ACT's government properties. He's now a millionaire.

Downside is that he used to play for the Brumbies. :(

Newcastle will win this well playing @ home in a finals game on a winning streak. A great turn around for them.

Like Brisbane killing off the old guard on Friday night - it's great for the NRL to have another tale of redemption - so you can expect Newcastle to not only be the better team wanting it more, but get some good calls on the night.

This will be an uphill battle for Canberra either way, losing 5 out of their last 7.
