Jack Bird should have stopped play to have his ankle strapped so that the bunker would have ample opportunity to put his coffee down and scroll through the last minute or so and decide that Matterson performed a copybook hip drop just the way they did for Jack DeBellin last week. And then tell the ref that Matterson should go to the bin which would allow the Dragons to probably not win anyway.

One read of the Panthers forum will tell you most of those lunatics thought the Luai hit was barely report worthy.

Haha Jack Wighton gets charged for being mean to a match official that nobody even noticed, but Daine Laurie goes off his nut screaming and shouting like a maniac and it's all good.

And the lack of a charge for a "high" tackle shows that the last Tigers penalty was also bullshit.

skeepe: the match review committee charging wighton proves they are incompetent and biased

Also skeepe: the match review committee not charging wighton proves the referees are incompetent and biased

I was criticising the lack of a charge for the other players. If you’re going to charge one player for mean words, be consistent.

Defending the consistency of the match review committee is an odd hill to die on, but you do you buddy.

Swear at the ref, get 3 weeks.
Call him a cheat - and how else do you interpret "You’re trying hard to give this to them. You’re trying hard" - slap on the wrist.

You were complaining about inconsistency with your first sook.

You then wanted to use Jackie boy not being charged for his stiff arm as proof the tigers shouldn’t have got their penalty. So apparently you take the MRC’s decisions as correct when it suits

You've got to look at intent, which is hard to prove, but you can feel it and so can referees. Two players can swear around the referee but one is just frustrated and the other one has violent intent. There will be a different punishment.

Fancy Annersley making a song and dance about the repercussions of a high tackle after letting Luai off Scott free.

He should have said "there will be consequences, for some"
