Looks like Nathan Brown has a guaranteed downgrade then using the Luai charge as a precedent

Seems like getting sent off gets you a lesser suspension then getting sin binned.

Surely if it's send off worthy you are looking at 3+ weeks on the sideline.

Otherwise its not really harsh enough to be sent off.

On the flip side, if the refs miss a blatant incident, the MRC doesn’t want to draw further attention the refs incompetence

Luai better enjoy it while he can, as soon as he wears another jersey those fines will become suspensions.

And it wasn’t careless, it was deliberate.

Just watched it again. It’s not even a tackle, it’s a shoulder charge.

Careless high tackle, seriously. What were they smoking?

In the run of play nobody even saw it. It was innocuous with no impact hence the charge. Even the ref looked bemused when the bunker told him to put Luai on report.
Nelson's late collision with Cleary was more forceful and got what it deserved - a penalty.

No impact? NAS dropped the ball and had to leave the field as a result.

"The ref missed it", probably isn't the best excuse.
