NSW spent 80 minutes with Fox, To'o and Critter out of position. And 80 minutes with a reserve grade fullback captaining the team to a loss.

Queensland deserved the win. Fittler is dumb for not utilising club combinations and Teddy is just absolutely terrible. He wasn't the only bad player. But if he wasn't a ball hog the result is different.

He needs to learn that selections based on club combinations mean absolutely nothing in Origin if the players aren’t build for it.
If he has any desire at all to salvage this series he need to drop Cleary and Tedesco. Would never happen but Cleary despite being a great club player doesn’t have that extra level and Tedesco is clearly done.

That was embarrassing from NSW losing to a 12 man QLD team at the end is pathetic.

That’s also why I showed almost no genuine excitement or real interest other than a passing one in the build up to Origin. I already knew that If challenged, they will find a way to lose and it’s sadly predictable to the point that I hate this time of year and I’m relieved when it’s over so I can watch what I actually care about. The only way they can win is to get a decent lead which they failed to do despite the possession. I’m sure people will blame Panther players and some deserve it but I will say that Teddy was terrible and Martin was one of the better players.

Luai was the better NSW half tonight but I think both halves pairings were quiet and QLD used Walsh perfectly.

We had no right edge play. It would hit Teddy and stop.
Crichton wasn’t as bad as some are making out. He stopped a lot of movements and kept their attack pretty quiet.

We were lucky to have JAC covering up every time Turbo got beaten for pace.

As for Hynes, he missed a pretty standard tackle and he’s better than that.
