Jed Cartwright has apparently signed a two-year deal with Newcastle.

Seems like a great bloke off the field but with respect to him, it will be no great loss on the field.

Far out that's huge news! Massive news! Makes me really angry too to be honest. The fact that this is still going on after almost a year is an absolute joke! An absolute fast and I can't quite believe it. Seems to be the NRL dragging the chain too. Now, we as fans have to suffer too because of their incompetence. God it's a joke! Well, after hearing all this, maybe I was a little too hasty to jump on the player's side. I don't know what to think now. Can see a lot of logic in both sides.

Hoops is 100% correct this is newton trying to be in control, he wants to control all the money from the retirement/ injury funds etc,why? Who the f**k is clint newton, he is a troublemaker and the players should vote him out,also look at the main committee players standing by him,geriatrics ready for retirment,all feathering his and their own nest,and whos to say if he is in charge of the millions he wont be on the next plane to the caymans.
I stand by the NRL, i say call the bluff, make it untenable, some blood for eventual gain i wouldnt deal with dickhead newton who just wants to justify his money
