You kiddies are probably too young to remember, but many years ago Gutherson played an origin game and he was completely ineffective and a permanent red line was put through his name.

If they drop Tedesco here are the options for NSW fullback (based on players who have/are playing fullback for their club and are not injured):

For mine, the only options are Edwards or Gutho based on form, though if the selectors want to develop a squad with speed and hunger, perhaps one of the Dragons or the young Tigers kid could be considered.

I seem to recall he was a centre but was moved to fullback when someone got injured.

He actually played 80 mins in all 3 games of the 2020 series.
All of that bar 61 mins of the 3rd game was in the centres. He moved to fullback after Tedesco got HIA'd out of game 3.

Born in Penrith but I don't know where he first played league so who is eligible for mate.

edit: played his junior football for the Terrigal Sharks before being signed by the Storm, so a New South Welshman.

So ineffective that he had more try assists in that series than Cleary did in all of his games

Edwards and Gutherson are the only options as Game 3 fullback, if Tedesco is dropped.

But he's captain for the series, and barring injury (or ruling himself out through personal shame) Tedesco won't be dropped for this final game.

Current Assistant Blues Origin Coach Paul McGregor, perhaps... NRL coaching success doesn't seem to be a pre-requisite for these Rep coaching roles.

People laugh about front loading and collision chasing on here but it’s 100% what Origin is built on. Lindsay Collins busting gut to pressure Tedesco on a bomb that leads to the try that clinches game 1. That’s putting in the effort with no guarantee of reward (front loading) just in case there is a chance and then once that chance is available being mentally prepared to try for it with no regard to an inretrievable negative outcome (chasing the collision).
