You have a Sat night game on FTA
Up against another game on Fox

It doesn't give a true reflection particularly of sub numbers
And yet fox are paying 400 million for this apparently

fox gets five exclusive games a week including the inpoetant super sat

it’s obvious league is underwriting the network

Until theres some concrete sub numbers out there, no its not really obvious at all.

We have both worked out that the figures are myths. That aside

Their version of 360 isn't hated like ours, infact all the panel shows on that channel rate far better than League and would be more appealing to sponsors.

Ratings on Fox are done from Live watching and through a ratings box.

I would love to get the raw data, To show how many people watched in total. I rarely watch games live but watch every game, So I am not classed in the ratings.

As would someone watching the delay games of AFL on Fox

Check the latest few weeks on tv tonight and you’ll see our version of 360 outrates theirs by quite a bit. I have no idea why as ours is awful.

Minutes watched would largely be irrelevant on subscription tv I’d have thought

hence why I picked fox over fta
Maybe they get better sponsors than fried chicken and betting on fox? You were an afl fan, are their advertisers more high brow than ours?

Nah the pre and post game panel shows largely favour us

foxtel isn’t paying them more because nrl360 is allegedly poorly watched lol

but sure it could be because afl is lieing about their Fox deal that might explain it

or maybe because there was 3 bidders for the rights? There's a thought.

Yeh and seven is 140 million.
So 400 million from fox is pretty spot on

which means we should get 500 million from fox plus 120 million from nein and 35 million at least from sky nz

I mean night by night. We get about 50000 mid week and they get about 40000. It used to be the other way round.

I'd have to look at the TV guides but it seems like every hour NRL 360 is on.

My point is there are more sponsors for AFL, I doubt Fox sports are going hard to sell one and not the other.

There would be data, such as the subs breakdown State by state, total audience etc.

We only see figures that come in from data sampling and not the full picture

No $140m is ch7 now. They told ASIC that they are paying 20% more under the new deal

sheesh, its not like I havent shown you what their deal is likely to be! Once again, from 2025 its $550mill cash avg a year which includes Seven, Fox and Telstra. There is then another $90mill avg a year in contra and in kind across the three media partners. Telstra is likely around $40-50mill cash. Seven likely around $180-190mill cash, Fox likely around $310mill-330mill cash.

Their precovid deal was $416mill avg (inc $16mill contra) and had approx:
Telstra $50mill
Seven $164mill
Fox $202mill
according to media and AFL financials

23/24 is $473mill but no indications of what the split is for this 2 year period.

If we get an increase on our current likely $380-400mill cash to $500mill cash we will have done very well given our past record of tv deal negotiations.

So much contra

marvel stadium will have better wifi than the us navy

every afl player gets the latest iPhone

450 million dollars is a lot of contra isn’t it
