FELDT is off to the Super League !! St. Helens.

He will earn more.

I know an ex players father in law and that player left his junior club etc, not just for a very modest increase in salary but also for the Bennet coaching experience.

He went back home after a few years (with a pay rise) but had no regrets.

I don’t think it’s appropriate I state the players name, but it’s a true story. As I understand it, he’s still very popular with most players.

He was very keen on Munster….

He loves coaching, age is not an issue.

Look, I hate these guys and their agendas on NRL 360 as much as anyone, but honestly, I agree with them here. This whole situation has been handled poorly by the club. Really poorly. It has shown a lack over leadership in my opinion, something we have been lacking for a long time now. I agree that Latrell should have got the full Melbourne Storm treatment they mentioned.

I am glad we've come down hard on him with a hefty fine ($40,00 all up for Trell), and I really hope they've been stern on him. None of this 'slap on the wrist' shit. Be hard on him and make it very clear that this is not acceptable.

Fingers crossed we can name him fit for next week, so he serves the ban this year but if not, so be it.

Can we move on now please?

Why should the club be getting the blame?

Here is something novel:
How about the player take responsibility for his own actions, take responsibility for his own bad behaviour, and how about not taking drugs?

I dont get the whole suspended fine bit.
That says to me even if he plays up again he just forgoes the $80k and he still doesn’t get sacked.
He will have to pay $80K, and he may yet get the sack on top of it.
So it means, having your contract torn up, forgoing all money still owed under the contract, and having to pay another $80K back to the club.

If that doesn't send a warning message, nothing else will.

But if you get sacked do you have to pay the 80k? You are no longer employed by the club so do they have any power to get the money from you?

100% brother but soly did make a statement when the club handed him the 100k fine, maybe many didnt notice it, but i think the club let him walk out byhimself because it was his fault and he had to face the music himself, why should the club cover his arse,we already done that too many times before, now that they decided the punishment they make the statement, if he hasnt got the message now hes f**ked

Well that's an argument that might have to get litigated, but my opinion, I would say yes, because it's a sentence that is pending, subject to no other indiscretions, it's not a commuted sentence.
I just hope we don't get to that point.
