My method of keeping my hopes up for a bit longer is to use the following thoughts:Honestly don't know why we even bother.
It's a powerful tool for Hunt.So if he refused to play, he is in breach of his contract, therefore we don't have to pay him the $1.8m over the 2 years, while he sits on his ass with no income, do you honestly think he will give up all that money, won't happen.
If Chunt isn't playing he isn't getting paid, so we wont have cap money tied up, its very simple, he plays he gets paid, he sits out he doesn't get paid and we can use that money on someone else, further more, Hunt doesn't have all the trump cards in his hand. It's a powerful tool for Hunt.
Do you think the club wants to have a player not playing and tying up cap space or even worse tanking on the paddock?
FTF may very well say Hunt is staying, playing and captaining is one thing actually achieving that is another.
Hunt has all the trump cards in his hands.
1. FTF wants Hunt to stay and said he will not release him.If Chunt isn't playing he isn't getting paid, so we wont have cap money tied up, its very simple, he plays he gets paid, he sits out he doesn't get paid and we can use that money on someone else, further more, Hunt doesn't have all the trump cards in his hand.
Well we were discussing your hypothetical of Hunt refusing to play and sitting out the season and our cap getting screwed and somehow Hunt held the upper hand, which he doesn't in that scenario, now IMHO if we were to release Hunt, i would assume we would ask for players in return or release fee and maybe it would be for the better if he did move on, so maybe we played our cards to perfection..1. FTF wants Hunt to stay and said he will not release him.
2. Hunt has said he wants to go back to QLD.
So IMHO if Hunt does go back to QLD then he held all the trump cards and played them to perfection.
I think he is a FG player as well, rep player no, solid FG.Shane Flanagan's honest assessment of son Kyle Flanagan
Each week, we put Shane Flanagan in the Firing Line. We put the 2016 Premiership-winning NRL coach to the test asking for his opinion on some of the big issues in rugby league. In the first edition, we ask Flanagan about the drama at the St George Illawarra Dragons, his son Kyle Flanagan, and...www.2gb.com
Earlier this year
“Kyle is definitely a FG player”
Well best we agree to disagree.Well we were discussing your hypothetical of Hunt refusing to play and sitting out the season and our cap getting screwed and somehow Hunt held the upper hand, which he doesn't in that scenario, now IMHO if we were to release Hunt, i would assume we would ask for players in return or release fee and maybe it would be for the better if he did move on, so maybe we played our cards to perfection..
We got rid of Sullivan, so I don't think so.Still would not be surprised for Hunt to be gone at seasons end. His salary is needed for a proper rebuild, suggest time is being bought to work the back rooms of suitable trade candidates.
WTF is this FTF ? It obviously hasn’t caught on so how about you call him by his name so we all know who you are talking about ?1. FTF wants Hunt to stay and said he will not release him.
2. Hunt has said he wants to go back to QLD.
So IMHO if Hunt does go back to QLD then he held all the trump cards and played them to perfection.
A bit harsh there DP,WTF is this FTF ? It obviously hasn’t caught on so how about you call him by his name so we all know who you are talking about ?
Doesn't really matter what any of us think, he'll be a first grader next year.I think he is a FG player as well, rep player no, solid FG.
I'm ok with it. He's looked pretty good as a 9/14 and he's a 70-80% goalkicker, which is something we needDoesn't really matter what any of us think, he'll be a first grader next year.
NepotismDoesn't really matter what any of us think, he'll be a first grader next year.
Billy Walters is doing ok at the Broncos. Should they get rid of him because he's the coach's son?Nepotism
Ivan Cleary's kid is a total nepo babyBilly Walters is doing ok at the Broncos. Should they get rid of him because he's the coach's son?
