I hope this happens and I can't wait. The Kangaroos haven't played England since the 2017 WC final which is a disgrace.

I miss the four nations where our best three nations and the top challenger would face off almost every year.

Bring it back and make it a six nations. Lock in Aus, NZ, England and France (our most developed nations and those with the most commercial potential) and add two Pacific qualifiers when played in the Southern Hemisphere and on Pacific and one Euro qualifier when playing in the Northern Hemisphere.

Play it every year outside of a woeld cup year. Heck, even put the WC on ice for a bit and concentrate on building international RL through this tournament and the attached qualifying tournament. Build TV deals, sponsorships, attendances and interest... just as the four nations was starting to build as it got scrapped

3 matches v Aus - Commbank, NQ and Melbourne
1 match v NZ in Auckland
1 match v Tonga in NZ
1 match v PNG in PM

thatd be a good tour

Nobody, and the out of touch geriatrics getting their wish to bring the Ashes back is symbolic of the reasons why international RL is such a joke of a non-event.

The whole thing needs to be blown up and rebuilt.
If England/GB manage to win a series then I can tell you a lot of people will care, at least in Northern England lol

No it doesnt. If anything we should go back to what worked.
England v Australia 3 match series should be a staple rotated with a world cup, 6 nations, Pacific cup and world nines.

Yr 1 World cup
Yr 2 Eng/France v TBC series (Europe) & Pacific Cup (Aus, NZ, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, PNG, Cook Islands) (one of NZ, Tonga or Samoa to tour Europe rotating)
Yr 3 Ashes tour (Aus/NZ) & Pacific 5 nations (Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, PNG, Cook Islands) Lebanon v France 3 match series
Yr 4 6 nations (Eng,Aus NZ,Fra + pacific cup finalists from yr3)

repeat and rinse and throw in world nines in Feb every other year rotating between UK and Aus/NZ or even hosted by other nations such as middle east or USA

The problem is the RLIF leaving it up to the national organisations to organise anything outside of the World Cup.

It's why the RFL can only get the likes of Samoa and Tonga to tour. It's pretty disgraceful.

Where the 4Nations was successful was that it was owned by the ARL, RFL and NZRL with an invited nation. The profits were shared amongst the 3 hosts and an appearance fee was given to the invited nation. It commercially was beneficial for everyone involved.

What is sorely lacking is a second competative European nation. The obvious answer is France but they are just utterly dissapointing.

Just bring back the 4Nations and give ownership to the RLIF. Every nation gets an appearance fee and the profits go to the RLIF. It will also make the World Cup what it's supposed to be, being a celebration of the sport.

2025 Challenge Cup final is already on sale. When did 2024 Origin tickets go on sale? It’s June 2024 and no one is even talking about post GF Internationals, what hope has 2025 tours? That’s the way we treat our International game unfortunately..

Its hard to talk up the Tests when the game is in partnership with Nine who want Origin to be hyped to the max because they make heaps from advertising revenue.
