Matty Johns also thought Tom Jenkins first season at this Knights was great and the 2nd season was a tough one.

He was in Newcastle for 1 season and f**king sucked.
As Austin Tayshus once said, "I love Queensland, then again, I love slamming my cock in car doors".

Our line up:

Worlds smallest fullback
Old winger noone wanted
Simple Jack
A skinny five-eighth
Isaiah "negative post contact" Tass
A grandpa 6
A lock sized rookie half who spent the whole offseason training hooker
Sean Keppie
A noname hooker
A bloke coming back from 12 months out

Need I go on

JD coaches that lineup we lose every week by 20+
You’ll probably finish in 8th spot at the end of the year.

Tectonic plates have shifted in the rugby league world. We have arrived as a premiership contender. That first half was a KO punch to the reigning premiers, the likes of which they have not suffered in many years. Nobody does that to Penrith. We did it. We are 3-1 including a signature win against the greatest juggernaut in modern rugby league history.

We are a top tier premiership contender. Jye Gray will be an origin player one day.

Hate to break it to you.

You beat the Penrith NSW Cup side.

It should have been obvious that Penrith weren't the same side this year when the Sharks managed to score points on Vegas.

As much as I hate the salary cap right now (no compensation for developing juniors) I was expecting to have much better depth and ability to cope with injury than this.
Souths had no Mitchell, Murray or Graham so injuries no excuse really for Penrith, making me hate footy suddenly again... Poor attitude of a few of the senior players is letting the team down and the likes of Laurie, Tago, Toelau, Cole and Schneider simply aren't good enough.
The premiership run may end which is fine because such a run can't last but you don't expect a 4-time premiership team to be suddenly looking like a bottom 8 or bottom 4 team. That could well happen if injuries continue to be unkind and we continue to defend so poorly. Keep playing this way and we finish 10th or worse.
IMO Penrith's squad has now got to where Souths are post 2021, in the senss that you are now very top-heavy.

If Cleary, Edwards, Yeo, Martin and To'o play every game, you can win the comp again.

If they don’t, the rest of your squad is back with the pack.

We are similar, but our "top" isn't quite as good. In 2022 they were all fit and only you were stopping us (and did). Since then we have had a thousand injuries and the rest of our squad has been decidedly average...

Souths really need to recycle that squad.....huge number of injuries over the past two years.

Souths deserved to win and were the better team but geez that Leota no try call was an awful miss. If they rightfully give that as a try then it's 28-18 with 20 to go and Penrith maybe come from behind and win.

Refs can't just keep missing things each week

He was held anyway - ball-carrying arm touching the ground with opposition hands on him. That's held. No idea how the video ref passed that. Never should have got to the grounding.
