4 wins and 1 loss with AT LEAST seven of our top 17 missing every week. Incredible start to the year.

Plus:

Round 1 we lost Munro at half time.
Round 3 Campbell Graham played with a busted calf for most the match.
Round 4 we lost AJ at half time.
Round 5 we lost our halfback after 5 mins, our 6 at half time and our winger after 45 mins.

By rights we could have lost every match but they are now fit and play for 80 mins every week.

It's all ticker and something which has been lacking in the side for a while now.

Was a brave win for Souths and an embarrassing one for the Roosters who easily should've broken the game apart but could not.

Still hate Souffs but hard not to give them credit on this one.

Yes have to give Souths a lot of credit for that win, losing players left right and centre and the Roosters looking like they should be in control leading 14-8 then somehow just losing the plot. Those two short drop outs from Latrell were freaky and more arse than class but they came up trumps.

Mate, I'm absolutely stoked. Thats the sort of fortitude and grit we've been lacking for some time. I'm happiest about the fact that me and Eric were proven right about Jye being fullback and Trell in the centres. Our very own Mighty Mouse is the next superstar fullback and he has well and truly cemented himself there. With Codys injury I'm guessing Trell will shift to 5/8th. I'm surprised my neighbours didn't drop by to see what all the shouting was about last night but I guess they quickly figured out Souths were playing. As for my psychological instincts, I get that from my mother who did her Masters degree in psychology.

Latrells pass was forward, he had very little momentum and it travelled at least 3-4m. To be fair though, I'm sitting here watching replays analysing it frame by frame so I dont really blame it getting let go live given its a closer one than it looks.

Yeah look at the position of the player who caught the ball…you can tell how foward it travelled.

I have to admit i was impressed how Souths guts that out, they gave Easts so many chances but the Roosters couldn't take them. Very impressed with the fullback and was good to see Latrell finally back in his best position of centre.
I would have to say that is one of the best guttiest wins i have seen from Souths.

Just goes to show how great a coach Wayne truly is. Pretty much the same bunch of guys would have got thumped in that same situation last year. Players truly want to give their all to make Uncle Wayne happy.

I watched it a few times and probably agree it went forward but in real time it doesn't look obvious so i have no problem with it being allowed.
The pass from Tedesco to Foketi in the lead up to Billy Smiths try was forward and wasn't pulled up so it evened out in the long run.

Exactly mate, swings and roundabouts. The fact that some passes are so borderline it's tough to call them one way or the other is just part of what makes our game so exciting.
