Sounds fair enough, but I don't like the way the NRL are taking finals into consideration. It would have been two weeks if he didn't have carry over points. But then again he's still out until the finals.

The bluff worked - he got his downgrade to a penalty that is fair and fits the crime. Now we just have to make the finals - which will be a monumental task in itself. Without Johns even the bye is looking unbeatable...

That's the thing - a precedent has been set now. If a player with no priors gets pulled up for the same thing, will they get a week as well? (which is effectively what it is, is it not, without Johns' loading?)

It was two weeks plus loading, and yet everyone was saying two weeks would be fair. Um...
