Funny how the pitch turns into a minefield in need of emergency gardening in the final minutes of a days play.

Nathan Lyon all class, gave him a "well played mate" as he walked by, unlike Root last night, who could do nothing but sledge his tits off

Insane the amount of luck the poms have had
They deserve the luck though especially Root for how he has really showed guts and determination....

They've done better than I thought they would....

We are still favourites 80 percent and England about 15-20 percent chance....

They got 176, they need 178 more. We have less than half the wickets we need. Their best batsman is still in. They have 2 day sessions coming up. Not good.

If Woakes gets his career average and Root is still in then it;s game over and they've got this.

Yeah he is class

Holy lord that short ball!

What I like about him is that he has really good control over the ball. People think he is some wildman with the ball and he certainly has pace but you can see he is more in the Dennis Lillee type certainly fast but not wild

I'd like to thank Steve Smith for making this an exciting match.

He was thinking of the fans all along.
I actually think it was the right call to bat again and give the bowlers a break....

If we had an all rounder in there he'd have enforced it....

So if he enforced the follow on and Enlagnd scored 350 odd with a Root big innings that'd leave an extremely tricky 130-140 for the Aussies to chase......

With that comment you've just proven how little you know about cricket, you can't just say "well they've got half the runs and more than half their batters left", the lower you go the shitter they get, it'll be a day 5 pitch and we've already seen signs of inconsistent bounce, also we will get a new ball early on tomorrow

England may get close but I have seen it a thousand times, chasing runs on a day 5 pitch is incredibly hard

Poms favourites?

You're drunk!

It's in Australia's favour 85/15 imo. And that's being generous to England.

But that's still better than the 99/1 at the start of the innings. Or the 9'999/1 had Smith enforced the follow on.
Root needs to go big and add 70-75 more tomorrow and hope Moeen Ali or Bairstow can chime in with a 40.... that gives them a chance.....

I reckon you'll be bowled out for about 300. 50 short or there abouts..
