Batman - like I say - generally I like your flow and agree with your sentiment. But I disagree with you on this one. Greig is often the voice of reason for any touring team in that commentary box, and is affable guy. Call him a mercenary, I call him a professional - but most of us would have taken Packers dosh - and the modern players continue to reap the rewards of persons such as Greig's stance.
But I think Greig always wishes SA and England to do well in Australia and for mine, makes that clear. Yes for most of the last decade he said how great Australia were. But they were. But Greig likes the underdog, and defintely prefers England and SA to Australia. Personally - I think he has enjoyed Sri Lankan, NZ, and even WI victories over Aus in ODI games since 1990. Now this may change given Australias decline - but yoiu watch his stance with SA or England v Australia. I doubt it will
He always wants to see the best batsman of touring teams show their wares. I think you've got him wrong. The guy wants entertainment and likes an underdog. He brings a tiny bit of balance to comm box. Richie can give praise where due to others, too.
