Batman - like I say - generally I like your flow and agree with your sentiment. But I disagree with you on this one. Greig is often the voice of reason for any touring team in that commentary box, and is affable guy. Call him a mercenary, I call him a professional - but most of us would have taken Packers dosh - and the modern players continue to reap the rewards of persons such as Greig's stance.

But I think Greig always wishes SA and England to do well in Australia and for mine, makes that clear. Yes for most of the last decade he said how great Australia were. But they were. But Greig likes the underdog, and defintely prefers England and SA to Australia. Personally - I think he has enjoyed Sri Lankan, NZ, and even WI victories over Aus in ODI games since 1990. Now this may change given Australias decline - but yoiu watch his stance with SA or England v Australia. I doubt it will

He always wants to see the best batsman of touring teams show their wares. I think you've got him wrong. The guy wants entertainment and likes an underdog. He brings a tiny bit of balance to comm box. Richie can give praise where due to others, too.

EDIT: Just realised you're a kiwi. Even better. Enjoy choking in the world cup AGAIN next year.

The Rugby League World Cup is next year???? Can't be: they don't come around that quick surely???? We just won the Four Nations, now we have to defend our World Championship???? ...And how can we be chokers if we won the Rugby League World Cup aye Einstein???? I distinctly remember the Kangaroo's choking at the Rugby League World Cup - just like at this years Four Nations - and Ricky Stuart whingeing so bad at the Aussie ref Klein that he had to be sedated. Then the Kangaroo's wouldn't even show up at the after-match function, because they had the sook's.

Looks like I was right about Bollinger leaking runs, going at nearly 5 and a half and over. Won't hear too much criticism of him on here though, imagine if it was Siddle or Johnson.

Harris dropped his pace singificantly... Is this normal for him to go mid to high 140's to low 130's?

Bollinger getting spanked despite looking the most threatening at times.

This English pair are pretty sure of themselves. A first since '86 I've seen this by England in Australia.

Harris has since got it back into the 140's.

You have to laugh at these Aussies trying to make out they are in the contest. 5th best test team in the world being outclassed and they are clutching at straws all over the place. If Harris hadn't been cruelly dudded when he smashed the ball into his pad off a massive inside edge, he would have got a hundred. (Remember the poor Indian's in Sydney a few years back, they had to cop a howler every other over of that test). If Hussey had just held a chance, the game would be won. If Clarke could just hit it off the square, he'd be back to his best. If they had just put a fielder when the pom hit the ball, the worm would turn.

We've seen Ponting spitting the dummy at Strauss last night. I knew it was coming. I reckon you'll see an absolute tantrum at some stage in the near future. Australia haven't had a crying captain since Kim Hughes, but Ponting looked a real sook when he got run out in '05. I think he could crack.

Christ Batman - you're really enjoying this aren't you? You're as passionate about Australia losing as the Indian youtube.com cricket posters are.

Did Australia decline you residency? Jokes. At least some people are enjoying today's cricket. Keep it up.

the only team the Aussies can beat are the Slack Caps

You could always start lobbying for Zimbabwe to return to test cricket.
After we gave the Indians a good run in the tests - after they'd white-washed the woeful Aussies - I'm happy that we are touring Australia next year. Every country in the world wants a crack at these 5th rate Aussies. You've got the Indians too look forward to again next year as well - Sewag and Dhoni and co will tear you a new one again.

It is business as usual on the Adelaide Oval. I won't bag out the bowlers too much. Where we failed was with the bat.

Will be interesting next test series - Black Caps have been learning from the English and recruiting Saffirs that can play... There is a new Bond/Hadlee sitting out residency....

Plus the middle order is getting stronger - Williamson, Ryder, Taylor... with Brownlie waiting for a shot.

That's right; Neil Wagner qualifies March 2012. I'm counting the days. We also have Kruger Van Wyk to take over wicket-keeping duties now that McCullum is hitting double tons as an opener. It's going to be great hearing the Aussie commentators whingeing about our Saffers!!!
