When he is batting in the same position as Trott and Amla then he has to deliver performances comparable to those players. It's a sad indictment on australian cricket that Hughes has been the man to bat in our most important position, we need a guy whose numbers can be compared to those players and come across as at least respectable in comparison.

Couldn't agree more mate. Hughes being given a top 4 spot for so long is a sad indictment indeed.

Someone find out where Paraboy lives and break in and destroy any device that might enable him to access the internet. He started this.

A part of me actually thinks it would be better to follow on. We need to get back out there again and try to undo this mess asap. Getting to within 190 and then fielding for 2 days while they get a lead of 500+ is the last thing we need.

I hope we're all out down by 201, getting back in there and get 300+ and having something to bowl to.

I know his not the greatest player or most talented but George Bailey has to be worth a look in. His got to be better then some of the rubbish this lot have dished up plus he can bat at both 3/4 or lower in the order if required.as far as I am concerned I don't care if they are the most talented batsmen in the country, I want the 5 batsmen that have the best application towards there batting at the crease to support Clarke.

One ball makes a massive difference, I love Sunshine but that was an awful shot 3 balls before lunch, we go in at 0-40, and we are at most 2 down now. Clarke looked 100 times better at 5 though

You really think England will even enforce the follow on if they get the option?

You seen George Bailey's first class stats especially last season, he averaged about 10! I still maintain that Ferguson despite his flaws would be a good number 4, at least until Jordan Silk comes in.
