Just on the run rate, England finished the day at pretty much 3 RPO. There was a time when that was a very solid rate. Not as quick as it is today but still a decent run rate against good bowling after being 2-45.

Collingwood and Pieterson have restored the runrate to a respectable level, that's true. They are in cruise control at the moment and really dictating how this match is going to be played. You get the feeling that they don't care if this match is a draw, they'll take their chances to retain the Ashes in the final three tests.

It's very frustrating to watch as an Aussie supporter, but they're executing a plan admirably.
