2nd Test: Australia v England at Adelaide Dec 5-9, 2013

Pleasantly surprised to hear we are batting. Good call.

They were never going to bowl. They've spent all week talking about potential fatigue between 2nd and 3rd test and possibly resting bowlers for Adelaide they weren't just going to send England in again and risk a big innings and maybe 200+ overs in the field.

Liked Johnson a lot more when he bowled to the left and right.

Why on earth would Australia bat?

Well Engerland might crack 200 one of these days and we'd rather it not be in the 2nd half of back to back innings. If your top order stopped being shit and stayed in for a while it might tire our bowlers for Perth. The last thing we need is for Johnson or Harris to breakdown with us in such a comfortable spot while your bowlers rest.

This way we have some hitting practice, our bowlers get some rest and the poms run around for a couple of sessions.

Batting again is a great call. Poms have just bowled for 2 days. Very short rest now they have to go back out and bowl again then back up into Perth.

Perth will be another smash up. These are great times.

I am not sure it was the right decision to bat again. How long do you bat for, remembering you have to still get 10 wickets to win the game.

If we had asked them to bat again this test could have been all over by late tomorrow. Giving the team a full extra days rest before the next test. By us batting again this test will go in to day five.

You play the match you are playing and worry about the next game when it comes. To me the Aussies are too worried about the Perth test. If we don't win this test and the Ashes it could come down to this decision not to enforce the follow on.

I'd drop Rogers for Hughes. Especially for Perth. Rogers is better against spin but as an opener he's nowhere near as good against quicks. Hughes has a much better chance of getting us through the new ball on a lively Perth pitch.

Think it was a horrible decision, they say resting bowlers i say England were glad they didn't have to follow on.

It probably won't matter either way as Aus are massive favs from here but i Australia somehow let England escape with a draw it will be a horrible decision

2 down!!

It's halfway through day 3 ffs. They've shown absolutely nothing to suggest they can survive for even close to 2 days.
