I’ll get shot down for this, but if you want someone who can bat time at opener, Jordan Silk is the man. I know his average is crappy, but look at his strike rate and balls faced. He knows how to negotiate a seaming pitch early.

Bear in mind his average has probably suffered a bit from playing at Hobart.

The other guy I’d consider at opener is Kurtis Patterson. Bats a lot of balls.
