Hope the deck is nice and bouncy :)

Kiwis will most likely have one maybe two changes (Neesham out of tour)

Australia most likely remain the same

Should be 2-0

bring on day night Adelaide..

The weather knows there is a Test on in Perth this week because the weather forecast is 34, 37 and 35 for the first 3 days after whats been a pretty mild spring for these parts.

Lyon was pretty good but the rest of the bowlers can all improve.

*IF* Warner keeps batting the same focus he showed in Brisbane he is going to rack up a fair few tons this summer.

I thought he was average which is an improvement on last summer.

Good to see him get an outside edge, something I cant ever remember him doing as he always bowls offies and nothing else.

Smithie was also a bit pissed off with his line, it wasn't until he started bowling outside off with a bit of variation did he get a wicket, and Smithy let it be known too.

Hopefully he has now learnt that its variation that will help him succeed and not just how far he can spin an off spin delivery.

Lyon can improve and he's yet to be a consistent day five winner but he's our most prolific off spinner ever produced. If he works hard on his variation he could be a great bowler and go on to take 400 wickets. Might stop him from getting taken to and pull down that average as well (34, ouch!)

As a traditionalist I'm not particularly enthused about the day/night match but the fallout will be interesting, especially if one team wins in a landslide.

Given that Craig was totally useless in Brisbane and Neesham is gone, I wouldn't be surprised if they played four front-line quicks and went with their back up spinner (Santner) who is an all-rounder batting at 7, with Watling up to 6.

They like Craig, I expect he'll play - perhaps Ronchi too, with Watling to bat 6

Santner is just a boy, handy all round cricketer, but not yet done enough with ball or bat

It depends on how fast the pitch looks really...I mean if I was a kiwi selector. I am no expert on kiwi cricket I was reading at another cricket forum that Santner is questionable on the backfoot. If the pitch is fast it would be a bit silly to debut him against one of if not the fastest bowling attacking in the world on a fast wicket.

I'd look for Craig to continue the mental disintegration on Starc

With Neesham out, it's either Santner or Ronchi in for him - batting lineup looks much better with Watling at 6 and Ronchi at 7 (Rutherford is, I think, the only other bat on tour). Then just a question of the bowling lineup, until we know who's fit, guess we wont know - I'd expect Wagner to play, if only for his steadiness - with Boult and Southee - then toss a coin among Santner, Craig, Bracewell, Henry and McClenaghan... sanity should rule out Santner and McClennaghan, so three options

Hesson talking like he'll play 5 bowlers, with Craig batting #7... not sure I agree... would seem to suggest they're adding a 4th pace bowler because the fitness of Southee and probably Boult is questionable - pretty sure Wagner will play, he'll bowl all day if needed

Craig's no world beater, but he's ok, and for whatever reason he seems to irritate that genius Starc

 Ronchi

Of course now I've said he will probably score a 100.

Never know what you'll get with him, but he did get 88 in his debut (and only test) in England, and would be keen to play well in Perth I imagine

Would be good to see Wagner back. Maybe a bit of hindsight but I felt he was quite unlucky to miss out to Bracewell in the first place.

Is Starcy a genius because he threw the ball at your 'spinner'?

Yeah, pretty funny that Craig could ruffle his feathers to that extent - Starc is a terrific talent, if he focused on bowling and stopped listening to the likes of Warne he'd go well

Ronchi has probably played the highest number of FC matches at the WACA of anyone in the two squads barring Voges so it's not a terrible idea.

Possibly another run fest coming up considering the fast WACA wicket and the Kiwis bowling performance so far on this tour.
